Came in to this store today to purchase a sluice for my birthday.I'm from Victoria and, admittedly, don't keep informed about restrictions beyond my own state/town, so I was unaware of the new mandate in effect today.Upon entry to the store, my partner and I were rudely confronted with demands for our proof of vaccination. The woman interrupted my partner twice as she tried to explain we were unaware and was just overall very aggressive and rude. For the record, we're both vaccinated, just weren't aware we needed to carry proof in NSW.We apologised and as we tried to leave she continued to call after us and then offered to serve us from outside. After being spoken to like that, I've decided to just purchase one online instead..Can't speak for the products, but service was appalling.

Horrible experience. Owner has absolutely no idea about the outdoors, and willfully discriminates against customers. Dont shop here untill the closing down sale.

lots of great things [aka toys] for all things outdoors, or many anyway, especially if you're going camping., hiking, hunting and even prospecting.it isn't a huge store, and not a huge variety of options within any given category, like you expect from big stores. doesn't really compete against bcf for boating or fishing. but still a very worthwhile place to go and have a look for camping etc.i wouldn't say it's cheap, but i think you are often getting quality, and not necessarily expensive.staff was very helpful and pleasant

This store has a good selection of camping and outdoor equipment, and associated clothing. Swags, gumboots, knives, woollen thermals, camouflage gear etc etc. one of the customer service people are helpful and yet need some improved customer service skills and yet her colleague is exceptional so helps keep the score a 5. Pricing seems reasonable for the gear. Not cheap but not over the top.

Staff / owner, attitude hasn’t change in 5 years! Poor customer service, felt like we were an inconvenience, rather then greet us as a valued customers. No forthcoming information, when trying to inquire about fossicking around Beechworth.

Terrible experience with a male there who was belligerent. Customer service is deplorable. I met with resistance from the moment I asked for a legitimate refund for shoes I had purchased only the day before (one shoe hurt my foot after walking - inside my home - for 10 minutes). He kept telling me I was ‘changing my mind’, while I tried to explain that I was not.He was so caustic that I left there shaking.This fellow obviously hates his work, hates customer contact, and it oozes from him. Stay away unless you want a complete downer of an experience.

One of my favourite stores with some good quality gear. They used to have a lot of experience army gear but sadly that is in decline these days. They still have some every now and then. You can still buy some new items though. Good for the kids if they do cadets. They have enough stuff for an entire camping trip and some decent work clothing. The staff know their products well. They also have some good quality hunting gear and knives.

So so many camping needs here. One stop shop to set your self up. A good range of products at reasonable prices.
