TAFE NSW - Lidcombe

So disappointed with the staff members at Lidcombe Tafe institution especially Mark William who is teaching Cert III- Cabinet Making. He does not show any initiative in his profession as a teacher. He simply does not want to be in the class.As a close contact of one of his students, I am close to writing a formal complaint with written authority to the TAFE itself & fair trade. When a student genuinely needs help, it would go a long way if he could elaborate on students mistakes & areas needing improvement. He does not even help students when they need help on their practicals. Why is he a teacher? Appalling!

I'm so close to finishing my course in interior design cert 3 and all it takes is at least 1 hour tops to complete what I have left. The problem is that the teachers do not come down and help you when they say they will be there in a few minutes. Everyday I come I waste my time and money all just to sit here and wait for help that isn't coming.

0 OUT OF 10you learn NOTHING from design cert 3 and 4they teach u nothing about how to designits basically a repetition of high school multimedia classwould not recommend studying here and wasting your money, try Ultimo instead since they r actually a design tafeI wasted way too much time and moneya note for the teachers: stop beating around the bush and actually teach how to design, how to create logosall they say is this is the brief create a cafe logo and they spend at least 4 lessons telling you how to read the breif and at the end they tell you to go design it, like how am I meant to design something if I don't know how to design. this happens in EVERY single class not just one but EVERY SINGLE CLASSwaste of hard earned money

I have enjoyed my educational experience during my study for Diploma of IT Networking.. Most of the instructors are knowlegable and coperativeI would recommended TAFE Diploma of it networking to any one

Really Run down facility, Limited Equipment, Over Priced Canteen, one of the Staff Geoffrey Gaymer quite Unprofessional, They try to Rip Off Their Students.

I went there many times in 3 months to get a course and enroll but everyone just pass me to others and didn’t do anything helpful for me

First day there paid 2x the amount of money the food was listed as. List price is $5.50 and I got to checkout and it’s $10, I say,“$10? Not $5.50?”Canteen lady says“It’s $10 trust me I work here”Scummy and disrespectful plus this place looks like a 1700s missile test site, run down into the dirt. 0 stars if google would allow. If your course is offered here and somewhere else, DO NOT SIGN UP HERE!!!!

I’ve been to this tafe for a few courses and it’s great no issue with the education system and teachers.HOWEVER Canteen prices are too ridiculously high for students. We already spend a whole lot of money to get studying and a lot of students are independent and only receiving government benefit income that hardly covers their rent and general finances let alone food to survive the day at Tafe. I find this is very sad an inconsiderate. And in my years of attending this specific tafe the prices have only increased. Prices should be reconsidered 100% Then it will be 5 ⭐️

Cafeteria is charging $7.50 for a can of energy drink. Overpriced or just daylight robbery?
