The staff are helpful and definitely knowledgeable to the history which is a bonus.Paid the fee, deposit and receive the keys to unlock the town history sites.Adults $30 school aged children free.It definitely is worth it. Allow yourself 4 hours to complete all tour sites.

Today we drove back to Burra and did the Key tour. Not once but twice I was told there is an engine in the engine shed at the copper mine. Well, NO there isn’t. One place was closed and another had a private function on and at yet another the slide show wasn’t working. Not worth the money!You are better off simply walking around this lovely town and enjoy the stunning buildings. They are awesome.

Drove almost two hours to Burra today, Saturday, website said they’re open 7 days per week and open today. When we arrived, there was a note on the door saying closed till 2nd January. Could have mentioned this on your website.

Bit miffed. This Visitor Information Centre will not (does not) recognise Veterans (Department-of Veterans Affairs) Gold Card holders as entitled to a concession. Thanks for your Service.
