Gino's Restaurant
A regular dining option for us living locally, we left terribly disappointed after our last experience. Despite 8 staff on the floor and a small number of tables occupied by fellow diners we were left waiting 10 mins just for water. Our red wine arrived having had the cork removed leaving the split foil wrapper intact, with another waiter eventually retrieving it from the table and opening it safely. We always enjoy the livornese but inadequate bread accompaniment so had to order an extra bread dish for mopping up the sauce. I made the mistake of ordering the veal involtini meal on the promise of rolled veal stuffed with ham, mushrooms and cheese with salad as per the menu, but what arrived were two small tubes of tough thin veal, drenched in a bath of watery cream. One bite enough, I called the waitress who took it away after showing her the rolls had one tiny piece of mushroom, no identifiable ham or cheese - tasteless. The accompanying salad similarly inadequate and was just a tiny garnish size. $26, no thank you. My husband’s meal had a side of chips - a small bowl about a 1/3 full with hardly a mouthful of shoestring fries. When we requested a full serve the waitress returned with minimal extra. No appropriate meal alternative was suggested for me so we finished our wine, paid and asked for my husband’s meal takeaway. We asked for a bag, but no bags apparently! We’ve given this place a red hot go many times the past 3 years. There are plenty of far better places nearby, forget Gino’s - overpriced, inferior quality food and a kitchen who doesn’t care about customer satisfaction.Edit: there was a discount applied as per EatClub. This was not at your discretion. No boxes were evident at the time of departure. Still appalling service - you need to lift your game to meet the current market.

The Chef was not interested in our opinion of the Dinner. Just dismissed our opion. We paid good hard working money at this restaurant...The Pasta was dry and hard like a leftover. . We will not return. Very unhappy. Could have been remedied...

Worse pizza I've ever had. Base so thin and toppings dry and tasteless. Being Italian restaurant expected a descent pizza. Willnever buy pizza again from them. Delivery quick by uber even tho had to pay service fee as well as delivery fee as you do now which makes the meal more expensive.

Gino's is the best small business out there, they have the best online ordering system thats simple to use. I like to order them not because they are a small business but because they have the best food. Even as a regular customer I will not get petty over the littlest of things from Gino's as that is what any decent person would do.

Really enjoyed my first experience at Gino's. Everything I tried was so flavoured and yum... Entree and the two main courses we had were on the larger sizes which is always great, prices are very good for what you get.Service was great, we didn't have to wait much and everyone seemed very attentive, frindly and helpful. Would definetely recommend for someone looking for great italian food.

No, it's not an instagram buzz filled place youll find in your feeds. These guys just do old-fashioned food at reasonable prices. You can take your family to any time during the week. The cheese pizza is amazing as is the prawn pasta. Service is prompt and there's lsay parking just a street away.

Im sorry but this is the worst place to be called an Italian restaurant ! What a shame ! Never have I ever had a carbonara with cooked scrambled egg in it ! Once the pasta arrive rest of us waited another 30 minutes for the pizza, obviously chefs do not care ! Never come back and won’t recommend this place. Pizza was awful ! Super doughy, no seasoning whatsoever. Rather have domino than this. Waiter was nice tho.

What a beautiful place, had the best food and was extremely well price when compared to the places around it. The atmosphere was breathtaking and the chef had a smile on his face. I would always go back there and will always be a repeat customer.

I can’t tell you how disappointed I was with the food - I ordered take away - I wanted to order some pizza and pasta that was still well priced but better quality then “Dominoes etc…. - I had the highest of hopes that a local small business would provide that. Don’t get me wrong you can get lovely pizza is Ascot and Hamilton but it will cost a pretty penny. The pizza from Gino’s was so over cooked and basically lacked any toppings. Don’t get me started on the pasta.Do not bother - it’s not that cheap and the quality is appalling.
