Malanda Falls
Possibly the BEST place in the Atherton Tablelands to cool off, enjoy the cafe or have a picnic and get great information at the info centre. Easy parking, huge areas. Will absolutely return one day.

Malanda falls is right behind the information centre. There are toilet and changing facilities. Super accessible. The fact that there is so much concrete and that there is a road right above the falls really spoils it though. Bit unfortunate. Not really somewhere you can do a big walk or bike either.

Nice place to visit. Take your and kids swim suits. Car park and visitors information Centre is next to falls. We were lucky to go during rainy seasons and falls were awesome. Nice walking

Malanda Falls
The day we visited was a little rainy, so the kids didn't get in and swim. However, there is a big, open pool like catchment where they could have easily paddled around. Only about 2 minutes drive from Malanda itself. There are undercover tables and a walking track, as well as a really interesting visitors centre with lots of interactive displays.

Nice wide falls. Swimming and a little spot you can get in under the falls. They used to having swimming carnivals here back in the day. Info centre. Platypus can be seen early morning. No dogs allowed. Parking at info centre or accessed through the caravan park if staying there.

Not the best waterfall in the region, but its ease of access makes it a must visit regardless. The recent wet season damaged the swimming area and it was closed off.I recommend both the nearby forest loops, the ease of the walk made it great value as bushwalks go. We saw a few pademelons, very cute.

Malanda Falls was beautiful as usual. A lovely lawn beside the waterfall makes for an enjoyable lunch. Cross the concrete bridge downstream to view the water going downstream. That is just as pretty. There is a Visitor Information Centre beside the car park for the Falls offering a trove of helpful information. Sorry, I don't have photos of the Falls in here. All of these photos came from the V.I.C.
