Middle aged lady that seemed to be in charge came across as extremely rude and intimidating when I was wanting to have my gas bottle refilled. First of all went on & on about it being in test which it clearly was (stamped on the side). Then tried to charge me $38 for a 4.5 kg. Wouldn't accept that 3 weeks ago I had it filled for $25 at the same place . Finally settled on $30,which I accepted. Then to top it all off, she chases me out of the store to say that the bottle is 6kg even tho the 4.5 kg is clearly stamped on the side. Unbelievable. The rest of the staff that served me previously were totally helpful.

The general staff and the male owner are incredibly helpful. However, the lady owner has the worst customer service you could possibly get, rude as hell. She's the one and only reason I try to avoid this place like the plague. If you're able, get your supplies from Townsville and take them across.

Friendly staff and more often that not stock what I require. Located on an island their prices are a little higher than you'd pay on the mainland but for the time and convenience worth it. Besides your also supporting local employment.

Customer service is terribly rude. Just tried to find out availability of potting mix and they made a rude comment and hung up.I have been a customer there for 13 years and now understand why so many go to Bunnings.
