Romanas Italian Restaurant
Calamari was frozen and breaded type. Just off the Gold Coast I would have expected freshly crumbed squid. Pizza was average to supermarket versions. Risotto wasn’t creamy as it should be. Overall I feel taste was average overall but I didn’t feel the authenticity and definitely not a 4.4 star average.

Garlic focaccia yummy, tomato focaccia had an extremely overwhelming garlic flavour (and I am a big time consumer of garlic!). The venue itself is quite dark and my pesto gnocchi was subtle both visually and in terms of taste. La Porchetta style caliber in my opinion

One of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had. I’ve had pizza’s all over the world (Italy, Germany, UK, New York, Chicago) and I can honestly say this was up there with the best. The toppings on the Romanas Lot pizza were divine. Even though we had take away, the food was still piping hot after a 10 minute drive, and was super fresh!

The food and cocktails are just so different on the East Coast compared to the West Coast of Australia. I would highly recommend this restaurant the food was absolutely delicious, the cocktails were delicious and plenty of both. The service was so polite and friendly I have not seen customer service like this for a long time. Well done.

We so loved this place!! Service was great and owner(we think, or manager?) so friendly as well.Food was fantastic, authentic, fresh and well cooked.Loved it so much we ate there both nights we were on the Gold Coast, we noticed a number of other repeat clients as well - another very good recommendation!

Absolutely amazing yummy well worth a meal and definitely friendly loving staff atmosphere was awesome. It's a 100% guarantee coming back. The fam with the great northern beers. Cheers .

I called here to ask if there was a table available for that night, a Thursday.The man on the phone laughed at me and said “Yeah Right let me guess, you’re in the car on your way over and thought you better ring to see if there was actually a table available” then he laughed again.Disgusting, arrogant, anti social behaviour towards a potential customer.Don’t worry I promise I’ll never call here again.

Ordered lasagne and pizza. The lasagne was so disappointing especially for an Italian Restaurant. It was a few sheets of pasta swimming in sauce which seemed like it had been microwaved. It tasted like a lasagne you'd pick up from Coles. Do not recommend at all
