Bridgewater Apartments & Terraces

Mostly ok stay. Highlights are the pool, view of the Story Bridge, and Brisbane River. The proximitey to South Bank lagoon and the boat docks is great (stroll along the riverside walkway). The elevator was broken for our entire 5 day stay, which was difficult with 2 kids under 2 and prams. There are stairs and elevated bridges to reach the elevator and around the grounds, so it is also difficult there with prams or other mobility impediments. The rooms need a little maintenance, both toilet seats broken. The door latch to the balcony was loose, and we had to tighten it for the safety of our kids. Some more shade over the pool/spa would be beneficial. The BBQ by the pool needs $1 coins to work and needs to be booked weekdays. Free parking is great. Staff were friendly. Another bonus is the Medley Cafe next door, which is a good place for breakfast.

The whole hotel smells dank. Our hotel room was advertised as “mountain view”, as we only see the back of another building. Using the now defunct “dick smith electronics” for the tv’s. Televisions don’t ever receive all channnels. Rest of the furniture is from fantastic furniture. Even the cheap paintings on the wall are separating from the frame. Shower squeals like a stuck pig just to have the water on, even on a light turn of the tap. Booking site was very wrong about proximity to local features.It’s a $2 hotel asking $10 to show you how disappointing they are!Stay the fook away!

We booked a 4 night stay some months ago in the neighbouring accommodation - Bridgewater Terraces. Unbeknownst to us, Bridgewater Apartments has now taken over the management of the Terraces as well, so they just moved us into the high riser, a completely different property, without informing us.We had no choice but to check in on the day of arrival. I voiced my disappointment and the lack of communication but was told we were `upgraded` from a 2 to a 3 bedroom unit.And what an upgrade it was...We were greeted by a terrible fish cooking smell. The kitchen was dirty, crockery and cutlery grimy, rubbish in the draws. Bathrooms and shower recesses are very tired looking. Mould, silicon peeling, not clean.Internet didn`t work, got `fixed` but kept dropping out due to 2 dodgy cables that ran 2 meters across our kitchen bench along the sink!Doorknobs falling off, blinds broken, some matresses on their last leg. And the list goes on.We were on the 5th floor, great views but 24 hour noise pollution from the bridge.We communicated all this to the managment which agreed to `look into it`.Nothing ever happened.

Where do I start…mould, filth, rust, patio probably never cleaned. Maintenance going on in the lifts, the smell was overpowering. The bed was so uncomfortable. The whole room needs to be condemned. Health hazard stay away!

I booked into the 3 bedroom apartment.The mattresses are horrible no padding and just plain old, came into dust all over everything the fans, the beds, the floors, bathroom vents, the fridge seals had very visible mould growing everything looked like they just had not cleaned the room since last check in, the wifi wasnt working and they had someone say they would look into and that i shpuld sign into another wifi but it kept dropping out, the staff were really nice in check in but when i came down to tell them about the dust and how i had to take my sister home due to it setting of her allergiesthe worker seemed completely put out by nerve of me bringing photos to his attention, they sent a cleaner up but all they could clean apparently was the the bed as they were too short to clean the fans or fridge they did vacuum the floors... with a henry hoover vacuum nothing commercial grade, the view is nice, but not worth after the almost $1000 dollars (after credit card fees and parking fees) for 2 nights

Lovely clean place near the river Staff very helpfull 5 mins walk from free ferry which brings you to most places Lovely pool Would def recommend

As others have pointed out, this place is not clean, and the beds are horrendous. We have woken up to cockroaches. Oh and one of the rooms smells like stale urine. Do not book here, it’s disgusting.

The room was substandard, needs renovation. Mattress was lumpy.cups were stained. Door handles coming off. Expensive . Pool is lovely, landscaped but the spa was out of order. Our room overlooked story bridge which is pretty but the traffic noise is loud. I was disappointed.

Nice spacious 3 bedroom apartment. Slight mould in the bathroom so cleaning needs revising. Most items available to self cater however the only oven pan was a muffin Tim. A plain baking tray would be more versatile.The gardens and pool are lovely and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay.

Great to have an early checkin on arrival, staff at the front counter were approachable, friendly and helpful. Garden and pool surroundings beautifully manicured throughout.On inspection of our apartment it was fresh, clean and spacious with a wonderful view of theBrisbane river. Close by is a mini supermarket but pricey, Story Bridge Hotel, Asian food, pizza and Japanese. Scooters are everywhere and a great way to see the sitesThis being our 1st night here l will update towards the end of our stay.
