Nice and quiet place. Was nice to walk to the end of the jetty and watch the fishermen.

Beautiful walk along the foreshore of Port Macdonnell. Quite a bit of history on display. Also good playgrounds, skate parks and jetty.

Currently lots of work being done in the area. Many upgrades happening. Still a fantastic area to visit. A long walk but a great area for the family. Nearby toilets, BBQ, tables and some shaded.

Port Mac Jetty
The Port Mac Jetty was a nice relaxing walk to the end. There were people fishing off the pier with the little fish visible from the Jetty. The scenery here was beautiful with boats anchored just off the Jetty and were possibly lobster fishing as there were many signs about lobsters. The boats were sheltered within the bay as there seems to have a breakwater bar just further out. This would allow the Jetty to be visited even in bad weather. The water was clear and it was a nice sunny day when we visiting. The Jetty also had a fish measuring sign that educates you on fish identification and the size it needs to be etc. I myself am not a fishermen but I am sure this would be of great benefit for those wanting to fish casually. One of the small but great attractions near Mount Gambier. If you are visiting this Jetty, be sure to check out the other attraction just down the road.Near the Jetty there were also picnic tables and a gas stove to be able to cook on. I believe it was coin operated but could possibly be free as many other stoves around Australia are.Follow and join me on my next adventure!IG: @the.koffert.kiwi
