It used to be the best untill new owner took over and now chips are not crunchy on outside and fluffy on the inside, scoops batter is hard and scallops are dry and not tasty at all, potato cakes were terrible and limp! Fish in biter was atrocious, batter was hard and dry, never buy from them again.

We (partner and I) always order the lunch deal which includes chips, fish and a can of your choice. It has always been very good (visited 5-6 times). Prices are reasonable and service is nice :)The fish is crispy (most of the time) with a lovely, not very greasy, inside. The chips are delicious and always taste freshly fried.My partner absolutely loves fish and chips and this is his favourite so far. Service is lovely, food tastes fresh and delicious and this is our current go to fish and chip shop.Consistent quality in both food and service 5/5 for service5/5 for food

First time,I would NEVER EVER order again.I ordered grilled fish, and grilled calamari.And rice pudding.Firstly they did not deliver the rice puddingAnd charged me for it.Stating they tried to call me and they didn’t call.All fish was fried in batter which they ignored simple instructions.When my fiancée called them, they were rude and basically hang up they phone after lying to he, when they didn’t call.I ended up having canned tuna at home.Which was much better than the garage food that they delivered.

Spent $90 and most of the food went in the bin.Chips and potato cakes were dry and stale tasting, burgers with the lot had a yuk spice and the souvlakis were just as bad.How this place makes any business is mind boggling!Absolutely disgusting food !!

I really don't like putting down a local business but me and my family had a really disappointing lunch from Burnside Fish and Chips today. We've had fish and chips from this place numerous times and it's always been fresh, tasty and delicious. Today the potato cakes were overcooked, almost like they had been reheated in the fryer, making them extremely oily. The fish was okay but didn't taste very fresh. The batter was stale and leathery, not all all crispy and crunchy like it usually is. Feeling a bit disappointed and this has always been our favourite go to fish and chip place.

Extraordinarily goodGreat cleanliness, staff are polite and cheerful, serving sizes are generous, food is old school fish n chip shop fare done right!Lived in the area for 20 yrs, this place has had great owners and one or two dodgy ones. These guys, at the moment are excellent!

Worst fish and chips I've ever had!Forgot multiple things from my order that I paid for.Literally everything (calamari, chips, crab sticks, potato cakes) somehow all tasted the same.. like stale, wet cardboard.I specifically asked for the chips to be extra crispy and they were SOOO soggy!!! The only thing actually edible for our family of 4 was the flake. And even that wasn't great in the slightest & didn't get finished by anyone.Not to mention the boy that served us had 0 customer service skills. Not a 'hi how are you?' or even a smile!!!I only came here because my regular was closed being good friday and we will definitely not be returning.

Just ordered fish and chips via Uber. STAY AWAY FROM HERE! Was not impressed!!! Water was running out of the fish and it was semi cold. There was that much water coming our of the fish that it pooled in the cardboard tray. They obviously did not cook the fish for long enough. Did not eat fish and it put me off finishing the rest of the Blue Sea Packl. It was an easy $15.80 they got off me for a badly cooked lunch. Sorry but I won't be back.
