Dunsborough Bakery
Great range of baked goods and condiments for gifts. Make sure to grab yourself a jam donut if you're nearby. So good!

Friendly staff, knowledgeable about other options of food they couldn't provide (ie gluten free dairy free lunch) delicious turkish bread chicken toastie automatically cut into two pieces. Beautiful selection of gf df slices and treats as well as the usual donuts, vanilla slices and pastries. Definitely go again.

Had a quick stop in Dunsborough to get some information and was parked across the street from this place so we had to go in and get some snacks. They had quite a range of different things to choose from but I went with a classic, a pie. The crust was ok. It was crispy and not very flaky. The filling was decent and tasty. They did have quite a lot of seating but we just got some food and went on our way.

I’d say skip the pies, go straight to the doughnuts. Absolutely delicious, fluffy, slightly chewy, with good amount of filling. Empty on a weekday morning other than the occasional parent and their child. Lovely bakery to sit in and people watch. Wish I had more space in my tummy for more of their sweets!!

FAMOUS PIES. YOU'RE JOKING.We went to this Bakery for lunch as we heard it had a good reputation. We left very disappointed with our experience. 2 male staff on duty. Used tables were not attended to. There is outdoor and indoor seating available and we sat indoors where the floors were a mess from crumbs and flakes of pastry everywhere. My wife ordered a long black coffee to have with my steak and mushroom pie. The pie came in is obligatory packet. Upon extracting the pie I was disappointed with the soft small square pie confronting me. It tasted okay but certainly nothing special to warrant the famous pie reputation. We had to go and ask for our coffee again from the younger staff member who forgot that we had ordered it. No systems in place for orders and it was not busy during our Sunday visit. When we left I said to my wife that the place needed a female presence and touch in the shop front area. If I come back to Dunsborough I would try the bakery in the shopping centre across the road. The coffee was okay but nothing special to write home about. Come on guys make coming to your bakery a unique experience for your customers, especially when you have so much competition nearby.

Ok bakery to stop at if in the area or on the way to one of the sights (lighthouse / cave / MR). We saw a lot of good reviews for the bakery and was excited to try but honestly we were pretty disappointed. We did arrive close to closing time so that could be some of the reason but overall I would just say this is an average bakery. The meat pie was super salty and gelatinous inside. The muffin was a bit dry and the caravel slice was just sweet. There was nothing overly impressive and there are other cafes in the area with good items so I personally wouldn’t come back.

This place has been around for such a long time I remember the time when I was an awkward teenager trying to buy me some pies because the pies are always tasty, no matter what flavour you're getting. Now I've come back as an awkward 35 year old and the pies are still as good as I remembered - soft pastry, heavy flavoursome filling, one may not be enough. The donuts are an absolute bomb here too, but make sure you come on your cheat day.

Pepper pie wasn't to bad, had meat chuncks. Cranberry slice @ $8-90 a piece is very over priced and I only ate half of it, dry mix with little flavour and the chocolate on top is of very low quality. Coffee was okay but in take away cups only, nice touch was the smiley face drawn on the lid. Overall, not the worst but far from the best.
