The owners are very friendly and welcome all customers with smiles. They store seafood fresh and I like they cook from fresh, not frozen. We ordered regular fish & chips but the volume was a lot more than expected for such a reasonable price.Their Nikuman (pork bum) was the best I have ever had. It's owner's (wife) homemade. Very fluffy like a chiffon cake and tasty! If you are with young kids, I strongly recommend to get one for them.Fish and chips are needless to say excellent quality. Crunchy chips and soft but moist big yummy fish, just perfectly cooked with light weight batter on.I definitely come back for their food and their friendly service.My son loved their chicken nuggets, too. A lot tastier than Mecca's, he says :D

We enjoyed the quality of the fish and chips and the chicken souvlaki here, with the new Japanese management.However, the only thing 'special' about the Japanese curry was how sad it was, just a cup of rice with sauce and a teaspoon of onion and carrot!

Went in for a potato cake, but the Japanese owner guy there recommended to my delight a ‘niku-man’ (Japanese take on a pork bun). The dough was the fluffiest I’ve had and the innards were very close to what you would have in Japan.By this time, I had ordered a Katsu Curry to take home and again, if you had curry in Japan before you would recognize an authentic taste, stewed so well that most of the veggies had long melted in to the curry, with a hint of spice at the end of each mouthful.I had gone in expecting fish and chips but left experiencing a quaint and nostalgic taste of Japan.

Well, well, well... I found the best fish and chip joint in Melbourne I’m down from the Gold Coast staying for three weeks and I tried a few other places near me, but let's face it, those other guys just can't compete with these guys and what they’re serving up. I mean, come on, it's fresh, tasty, AND hot! What more could you want from fish and chips? Owned and operated by a Japanese family and they offer curries, dim sims and much more.It was like a flavor explosion in my mouth the whiting Hake with their secret herbs and spices, if you're a fish lover in the area, do yourself a favor and check out these guys. You won't be disappointed and the prices are great.Fresh white vinegar on the table if you choose to sit in to eat.9/10 for me would have got a 10/10 if they delivered to the Gold Coast!!!

Wonderful service and lovely people. We rocked up half an our before closing with a big dinner order, and it was top tier.Most welcoming and cheerful food place I've visited in a minute. Nice walk from the beach too

Got Fish and Chips from here last night. Extremely happy with everything. We had some flake, chips, potato cakes and dim sims. All were cooked beautifully and the flake had a lovely light batter which was delicious. Probably the best FandC in the area at the moment. Congratulations to the new owners.

This business is under new management. A lovely husband and wife team producing some delicious food indeed! The fish was fresh and the chips crispy and delicious. What made it an even more positive experience was their willingness to drop the food off which is especially appreciated when running a small business as it is not always easy to get out for food. Their additional exceptional service with a smile will have me recommending them to everyone in our community. I had been hearing some positive feedback from my own clients and I was keen to check it out for myself. I am so glad I did! Fish might be on the menu for lunch again very soon! Thank you so much :-)

was hungry for fish n chips and happened upon this place - met the SUPER friendly japanese couple Kenji and Michi and their fish and chips was AMAZING! Tried their tempura too which was superb.
