Ordered fried rice without meat or prawns. They removed the prawns but not the meat.

The Bear House Restaurant
Our first time to Bear House. Spoken to the Manager and got to know some history of this restaurant and the motel beside.As they serve Malaysian food, we ordered the usual CKT (fried quay teow), curry noodle and nasi goreng (fried rice). Taste were good and portion is generous. The black bean sauce beef was good too.

Absolutely delicious, staff were very lovely and the meals were a good size!We will definitely return.Only downfall was that we had to wait longer for the Malaysian crispy beef, I had finished my Kung Po Chicken before it was brought out.(But that's OK, just thought others might want to know this in case they can't wait too long for their food).

We got there around lunch time. It was odd that the decor was more 'mountain cabin vibe' while the food was chinese. We wanted to try it out as we would drive past it wondering how it was. We ordered the mongolian beef, lemon chicken, and house fried rice. Surprisingly the food was really good, and cooked fresh! Prices are on par with other places, the servings are ample, and food is the same taste and quality if you ordered it from one of the more popular chinese restaurants, so we were happy. We would recommend this place inspite of the confusing combination of decor and cuisine. We are already planning to come back for a birthday dinner :) ... love to see local establishments serving great food and service.

This has been one of our favourite local restaurants since it opened as Chinese restaurant.Sadly there service has gone down hill recently.The portion sizes have greatly reduced although were brought to the table very fast and tasted great.There were many unreserved tables with plenty of space available and they wouldn't allow us to dine in without booking... which has never been a concern before when there has been free tables. Havent seen Lucy there in a while she is so lovely.

Food and customer service was really good they even gave us a call before arrival to organize high chair for baby. Tasty food with good quantity. Wish there was some milkshake in the drink menu.

Service was good and the food was very good. The venue is rustic and looking a bit tired and uncared for. Good variety on the menu.
