Fisheries on the Spit
I was starting to become disillusioned by all the very ordinary fish and chips I'd tried over summer around the Sunshine Coast UNTIL this evening dining at Fisheries on the Spit with my Son and granddaughters. The service was friendly and so helpful but most importantly the fish was hot, fresh and delicious. In fact all that we ordered was delicious. Thanks heaps and I look forward to coming back soon

Fresh seafood, great service and plenty of shaded seating = the perfect summers day treat!Located on Mooloolaba Spit, it can get very busy during peak season. The staff are always really lovely here and are very accommodating to dietary requirements. Gluten free options available and prices are fair for good quality local seafood.Large selection of drinks, cold seafood, ice creams and salads.A Sunshine Coast staple!

Amazing fish and chips. Try the calamari, it is delicious. Reasonable prices and across the road is plenty of tables in the park and an entrance to Mooloolaba Beach. Great spot to watch the sunset.

Fisheries on the Spit
If you are looking for some freshly cooked high quality seafood then make sure you pay a visit to this place.Called in a couple of times while in the area and it seemed to change daily what was available from what had been caught that day.We bought a mud crab and Moreton Bay bug to take home for dinner, they were fantastic.They also have some quality accompaniments sauces available as well if you need any.

Perhaps the worst seafood / fish eatery I have ever been to:- overall quite dirty and worn out place- terrible service (the cashier did not take the order correctly)- very sub-par quality of food- the prawns were served in a plastic bag, cold from the fridge. After the request to heat them up a bit, the restaurant requested an additional charge of $10Would recommend to avoid this place

Good fish and chips and they don't cost an arm and a leg given their amazing location and compared to similar places nearby. They also have a nice selection of eclectic grocery items in the store. The food was cooked to order, fresh and tasty. The chips were fresh, crunchy and well seasoned. Food did take a while as it was busy when we got there. Their upstairs sitting area is great to watch the sunset and you can catch glimpses of the nearby ocean.

This is one of the best fish serving places we gave been to in Mooloolaba. The seafood is fresh and prepared well. There is seating just outside with ample parking.The cost of the seafood is very reasonable and thr portions are generous.

I had a seafood basket and everything was delicious. I loved the fact that the calamari had been destringed" cooked to perfection it just snapped away as you bit into it. They add a Pineapple fritter to it! Perfect for dessert!. My friends enjoyed their spring roll

Great fish and chips by the spit. Had fresh and cooked seafood on offer as well as some grocery items. Shared the fisherman’s basket, grilled sea scallops and pacific oysters between 2 and it was a perfect amount for lunch. All cooked really well and tasted super fresh. The whiting and calamari were a stand out in the fisherman’s basket! Will definitely be back here again for fish and chips by the beach.
