The girls at Salon U are fantastic! Every service they offer they do it brilliantly, most importantly it’s not a rushed job! Emma goes above and beyond with her massage and makes you feel comfortable and relaxed! Highly recommend!

Friendly and competent staff. We had a large group of six for manicures and pedicures on Christmas eve. There was minimal waiting despite three other customers and were out within an hour. My pedicure was thorough and well done.

After trying out few places for eye brow job, I was pleased after my first visit, with the friendly and professional staffs approach, Amy the owner has done a wonderful job with my eye brows, the salon was also very nice and clean, and the price was affordable, compare to other places , and the job was better done. I look forward to returning to Salon U .....

I went on Google searching for some highly recommended nail salons. I have learnt from attending this salon that 5 star reviews can be deceiving. I called Salon U and booked an appointment for a pedicure for a Saturday morning. The woman who answered noted my appointment but did not ask for my name and number which I found strange, usually salons at least take a name.I attended on Saturday morning happily and the lady working, assumingly, the owner, asked me if I had an appointment to which I replied that I did. I was sat in one of the salon foot spa chairs waiting for some 20 minutes wondering where the staff were. When 2 other staff had finally arrived and 2 other customers had also arrived, the owner stood up and in front of everyone in the salon said in a loud and rude voice that I did not have an appointment to which I replied that I did. She assumed and did not ask for any details to verify because they they did not note down this information. I felt really embarrassed being spoken to the way that they did and with other customers watching on - I have self respect. The owner was insinuating that I leave and I wish I did because since that encounter and through the whole appointment while I was there, I felt like I was ‘not wanted there’ and felt overall bad and uncomfortable while being there.A female staff member did my pedicure and just before before painting I thought as I usually do, I would get asked if I’m happy with the shape. She did not ask me and I said that I was not happy that each nail had a different shape. I asked her to please tidy them up a bit. Instead of fixing them, with attitude and in a loud voice, she said to me that the other customer (next to me) was waiting (obviously her attitude was learnt from the owner). I said to her that I am her customer too and I need to be happy with the service. I told her that if she is busy I can shape my own nails as they need to be right before the paint to goes on and I cannot cut them after otherwise it will ruin the fresh polish. She took off without a word and left me and went attending to another customer like I didn’t exist. The attitude of the owner and the staff was unacceptable.I was sad and I shaped my own nails…. Then one of staff painted my nail polish. As I was waiting for my toe nails to dry (I couldn’t leave with freshly painted nail polish as it would smudge as much as I wanted to), I felt so upset and something came over me. I tried to contain myself but I could not help but quietly sob and cry to myself with my sunglasses on and head tiled to the side trying to hide that I was crying as it was a really embarrassing with other people looking on.For me personally, this was a horrific experience. I have 2 businesses and I could never ever imagine treating any customer of mine that way, no matter what. Customer service is crucial. Everyone is human and everyone has feelings. I have not experienced this at any other salon in my 17 years of attending nail salons.Straight after the appointment, I went to my local salon so I could do my manicure. At least at my local salon the staff act normal, kind and provide good service. I appreciate them even more after having dealt with the owner and staff at Salon U.I do not promote businesses like Salon U and I suggest people reconsider giving business to places like this that provide poor customer service, display this poor behaviour and allow their customers to go through such horrible experience.
