Budget Car & Truck Rental Croydon

Do not use! Were told to return at 9am Saturday and they were not open and charged us for the extra time. Plus they held my debit card over the weekend. If I could give zero stars I would.

Truck itself was fine. Communication within the building terrible. Charged more than twice the amount I should have been charged. 3 weeks has passed, have since followed up twice....plenty of apologies but no refund and no return communication. I'm hoping this review will get some action. Very unimpressed.

The female (questionable) manager has to be the rudest pig I've ever encountered. Resorted to petty name calling after her bully tactics didn't work. On saying that, the lady who served me was the polar opposite, friendly, courteous & a pleasure to deal with. However I wouldn't recommend based solely on the actions of the questionable female manager.

My car rental was completely covered by my insurance company. After I had returned the car I find Budget have charged my credit card. I rang and they lied and told me it was to reduce my excess. Two days later they rang back and said they had charged me rental of the car. They said they would reverse the charge. 1 week later no refund, said they had sent to Head Office it can take up to 10 days. 11 days still no refund on my card. Rang again they told ME to follow it up with their head office. I rang their head office, no record of a refund request! Totally frustrated I rang my insurance company who went from head office to Budget Croydon to head office but finally sorted. Now waiting another week to see if they refund the money they never should have taken. Disgusting.

Friendly, practical & efficient service. Their minibuses and trailers are perfect for our needs. They are also quality humans and amazing supporters of the local community!

With less than 48 hours notice, we were contacted and told they didn’t have the car we booked. So sad too bad for us I guess. It’s a real life Seinfeld episode! Budget Croydon sucks!

i booked 4 days ago for 7.30 am pick up. when i arrived the truck had not been returned. Manager rang previous hirer. the caller said there would be an hours wait. It was 9 am before i got a truck. then I heard a second truck wad due back at 8 am but i was told that was going to someone else. i had 3 men working to load sitting around. we returned the van after 4 hours but no rebate or allowances. very disappointing indeed for 163 dollars...driver said vehicle steering was poor to boot. i didnt drive it . I asked driver to tell manager

NEVER rent through Budget truck wasn’t ready for pickup , wasted my time. Overcharged me for the rental . Truck itself horrible , transmission had issues , wheel alignment was very bad . DPF had issues , clearly they couldn’t care less about servicing or looking after their customers.They also shut at 4:30PM doesn’t give you much time .
