West End Fish & Chips

These people should be reported to the Health Department. Their Potato cakes are inedible, hollow, overcooked pieces of batter. I gave these people a second chance, never again.The rest is just ok. It’s a pity as they are the only fish & chip shop in Warrandyte.

We go there often as it is convenient. The fish and chips are good however don't buy a burger unless you like bread. The patties are way too small. FYI this is a burger with the lot ! OK a little update. I try and support local businesses that is why I continued to go here. No Burgers though!!! Anyway I brought up the issue of the Hamburger and the owner laughed at me and told me to go to McDonald's. If I hadn't already paid for my grilled fish and chips I would have left. Unfortunately as I tried to explain raise your price a little don't say everything is more expensive and charge 14 dollars for what's in the picture above! So sorry but if in Warrandyte keep driving until you find a less obnoxious owner and someone who doesn't have an excuse for everything. I said you shouldn't say things like that to customers I was trying to give you feedback and he continued laughing! Definitely never going back! He needs a shower too. Due to no common courtesy and no customer care they get a big fat 0 stars. Very unfortunate, I tried!

Gourmet prices. Fish wasn't too bad and chips no good. Burgers are average but pricey. Maybe they need to charge high prices but I'll make my own lunch from now on.

I want to be kind ,but I can’t. If each aspect of your order is below average, you’re gonna get hit with a 1 star. The potato cakes weren’t cooked through and were choppy to to the teeth, the chips didn’t know salt existed, the grilled fish resembled an uncooked pancake, the deep fried flake tasted like things other than deep fried flake. We want to support local businesses, just hope the food gets better

I’m unsure if my calamari rings and prawns were fish fingers but overall the quality could have been worse.The burger with the lot was delicious!Probably could help if the woman behind the counter was a bit more cheerful too next time.

Have been going to west end fish and chips for years now, usually no issues.Ordered the George Whiting. The ends of the fish had not been cut meaning there were still bones, scales and fins on the edges of the fish after being cooked. Other than that the meal was fine and so have all my prior ones, can recommend this fish and chip shop.

For a local business I am sorry to say they are not honest with our kids and it's not isolated incidentsKids ordered a lunch meal and told no drink you pay extra when it clearly says drink.On another occasion Charged extra 50c for kids to tap with a card than what it said on the board for price when asked they would not give a answer. I have heard from the local kids many other similar incident. If you had a competitor you would not rip of the local kids.As a family: my experience is the owners are rude and disappointed with the food burnt or soggy and taste like old oil. Prefer to drive out of Warrandyte head to research if I'm too lazy to cook dinner
