The Emma Dean team are without a doubt the best in the business, with professionalism and expertise that is second to none! I've been seeing Sylvia for a number of years now, and trust her completely. Not only is she an incredibly talented hairdresser with skill that borderlines actual magic, but she always takes the time to listen to what's important to me for my hair . The salon itself is light and airy and has a great vibe. I know I'm guaranteed to walk in feeling welcomed, and walk out feeling amazing each and every visit!

I highly recommend the hair stylist, Victoria at Emma Dean Salon. I have natural, long, dark brown hair and therefore rely on an outstanding hair cut to add style, texture and detail to my hair. After years of searching for a hair stylist that is consistent, has an eye for detail and is creative with their hands, Victoria was finally the only stylist to be able to achieve this for me year after year. She cuts with passion, listens to her client and guides you based on her expertise always resulting in an even better cut than you imagined. Victoria is so versatile in her cutting skills and over the years has maintained styles for me, enhanced styles and guided me on latest trends for example most recently the ‘Butterfly Haircut’ - which I am absolutely loving. I know that Victoria is an exceptional colourist, specialising in blondes and balayage but at the core also a fantastic hair stylist and cuts my hair so perfectly, each time. If I was to ever go lighter, Victoria would be the one to do it for me. If you are looking for an amazing hair stylist, go and see Victoria at Emma Dean salon.

I had keratin treatment with this salon and it was the worse keratin treatment I ever had( I had 3 keratins in the past). My hair was washed at the salon straight after applying keratin which I am not sure if it was the right thing as I was always told by my previous hairdressers that you need to wash your hair 3 days after keratin. Anyway... To be honest, it only lasted for 2-3weeks... After washing my hair 2 times, it's effect went away... I paid 375$ which is more expensive than many other places and no good results. I even used the shampoos that were given by the hairdresser. I think it could be because of either low-quality materials or washing the hair straight afterwards. I don't recommend this salon for keratin at all.

Last 7th September 2022, I came to this salon for the first time. I had half inch off (trim). The salon has a lot of good selections of branded products which are displayed on the said shop. The staff are highly trained on what they do.what I love about this salon is that the staff are vigilant on every customer who comes in.. everyone makes sure that you are taken cared of. i wasn’t a paying client but I got a good service.one lady had her hair done.. she has her dog with her.. what impressed me was that the hairdresser did not only offer a drink for the client but also offer a drink for the dog.. I am a dog person and I really appreciate the kind gesture showed by the staff.the community must be so proud to have this place.. good service and great hair. i would definitely recommend this place.i had a complimentary braid after the trim.

I have been going to Emma Dean Hair Stylists since their inception on Darling St Balmain. I keep going because I get a great cut and style. It is one of my greatest pleasures to have my hair looking neat and attractive. Can recommend both the salon and my stylist Ben. Can't say enough good things about my experience with them.

Couldn’t be happier with my hair after this morning’s appointment with Bahar. My hair has never looked better. Bahar has nailed the brief yet again. The atmosphere at the salon was very relaxed, perfect for a morning off from mum duties. Always such a pleasure visiting EmmaDean. Counting down until my next appointment.

My first haircut today, back at Emma Dean, after 5 months of lock down! Thank you Ben! I am so happy with the cut and style. I’ve been going to Ben now for over 20 years, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The team at Emma Dean really care about their clients – whether it is by using or recommending the best hair products possible or having a chat and laugh to making you a cup of tea. It's a special salon to visit.

I recently booked an appointment with Victoria for a colour and cut, she understood exactly what I wanted and I was very happy with the service provided at the salon. All the staff are so lovely and I would definitely recommend this salon.

Emma Dean was recommended to me two years ago on my hunt for an amazing local hairdresser and I’ve loved them from my very first visit.All of the staff and stylists are just so genuine, lovely, experienced and talented. Wayne is an amazing colourist and an exceptional cutter as are all of the stylists. It’s such a warm and friendly space to relax and unwind always but particularly after lockdown when we all need some ‘me time’. I also love that they don’t force products on you at the end of the visit which so many hair salons do. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
