Not well maintained and lacks facilities.Site of a former gold mine but nothing really remains.The hill above (flat area) you drive in on was once the location of a gold mining town in colonial times with stores, pubs and a school with over 300 students in the 1860's-19870's. Now also no trace of that remains.

A meandering gorge with vertical cliff faces and unique flora.There is a flat area good for parking and stone steps to the creek that will become a river downstream, otherwise the site is undeveloped as a tourist stop or attraction.

Very cool site but not the most picturesque. If you're in the area, go & check it out but don't go out of your way to see it, you'll probably be disappointed.There's plenty of room for camping in the clearing near the swimming hole.

Great spot to stop and explore. Found an old water wheel here. Must have been a busy place back in the day.
