Grinstead Oval
This oval is named after Edward George Grinsted who donated the Grinsted Cup as a cricket trophy to promote a higher standard of the sport. Ted Grinsted, as he was known, owned a newsagency and sporting goods store, and was president of the Forbes District Hospital as well as being on the committee for a number of years. He had two sons, Reg and Jack, who were also very involved in the playing of cricket. He died on 26th September, 1949 aged 82 years.
