I love working with tradespeople who are passionate about design and the quality of their work. I have worked with Solid Stone Constructions on several projects and found them to be just that.Martin is more than a tradesman - he is a master craftsman. Solid Stone Constructions are nothing short of dream stone masons with a final product unlike any other. Their masonry skills are beyond next level and their work ethic is spot-on. We searched for months trying to find an Australian stone that would compliment our design brief and when we finally found grey sandstone from Newman Quarries in Yamba we also discovered Solid Stone Constructions who had vast experience working with this hard stone. They worked on our site here in Sydney for 11 months on and off as the job required taking weeks at a time away from their families in Byron Bay to travel down and complete their work. They were creative, respectful, clean, communicative and most importantly they treated every stone as if it were to be placed in their own home. Marty, Tanc and the team from Solid Stone are not really tradies - they are artists working with stone to create beautiful pieces of long lasting art that feels like an ancient skill in modern times (think cathedral or pyramid builders of old). Marty is the director of this process and his vision means you can be comfortable with a flexible and evolving design that responds to multiple aspects - the environment, each hand crafted and artistically placed stone, the conversations on site and the space as it evolves through the project. The result is something truly spectacular. I cant recommend Solid Stone enough - use them !

Martin and team built a stone fireplace/barbecue and tree planter enclosure. I was impressed by the hard work and professionalism. I would definitely use them again.

These guys are awesome stonemasons lead by Marty. Their work is simply stunning craftsmanship with great character and attention to detail. They completed a major job for me on the Central Coast and there’s no doubt their stone work is the highlight of the house. They were always professional, timely and courteous as well as being great artisans. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Martin and his team from SolidStone did an excellent job repaving our back garden with natural stone pavers. Communication was excellent at all times and we really felt that Martin took as much care with the job as if it was his own place. Highly recommended.
