We recently build a new house (8 months) with an Alfresco area that can be fully enclosed so we needed a rangehood that could really pull some airflow . We initially installed a competitors product which failed to meet our needs so we replaced it with a CL8812S with the SE ISO Drive, which has been terrific. It looks great, has excellent performance and is extremely quiet. Schweigen are a very helpful company to deal with as well. We are very happy with the product and the service we received

So frustrated with Schweigen and I have not even installed the rangehood yet. The first issue was false advertising about the length of ducting I was getting, then I had to spend a long time on the phone with a very rude manager, having to explain that his own documents show proof that a given ducting length will be supplied but hasn’t been supplied. I then placed an order through their website for 2 items and absolute crickets until I emailed to get my tracking number and was told it would be sent when it was never sent and in-fact, the item was never sent until I reminded them to. So finally, an item is delivered and I find that one whole item is missing. I contact the company who told me they forgot to send it…. Completely unprofessional when they charge so much for their items.If this is how much effort I’ve had to put in before the item is even installed, I’m concerned about their management if there’s ever a system issue. I would not recommend purchasing from this company.

I am very happy with my Schweigen range hood. It has been installed one year in my new kitchen and it is very efficient. I can't believe how quiet it is and how well it takes the steam and odours from the kitchen. I have just recommended it to a friend who is having a new kitchen installed.

Wow! We are so thrilled with our new Schweigan range hood. For the first time in 2 years our smoke alarm hasn’t gone off, and the first remark was ‘I can’t even hear it, all I can hear now is the oven’ - so maybe a new oven next! Also looks far better than our last one.Both of us are so impressed with it, thank you again and to Chris and Peter who installed it for us who were just super lovely.

Installing a Schweigen range hood has improved the comfort of our home. My husband wears hearing aids, and open plan living means lots of competing noise. Using the old range hood, which was so noisy, my Husband could not hear anything else. Therefore it was seldom used. With the Schweigen range hood it is now used constantly, even when we are eating, and we cannot hear it operating.

This is an update on my review of 2 years ago. Another issue we have identified is that the motor on the roof is not well protected against insects. The grid's holes are not small enough and on a few occasions we have wasps or other insects buzzing inside the range hood. Another improvement that would be welcome.We have bought our Schweigen undermount about 5 years ago and it has literally changed the quality of our life in the family room, adjacent to the kitchen: no more smells, no more noise. We have opted for a powerful motor, much more expensive than the basic one, a choice we do not regret and recommend. The stainless filters are easy to wash and easy to remove and put back. Only improvement should be the light bulbs, which let part of the greasy vapours infiltrate inside the rangehood. Probably an easy design fix that we would like to see.

The lovely Sharon at head office helped my hubby with a replacement part .We can recommend our silent Schweigan rangehood as it's so quiet and we have had it 10yrs and it's never missed a beat

Seriously five-star product. We replaced another brand of range hood with a Schweigan model and you’d think we’d moved to another planet, the difference it made. It is so quiet. An absolute pleasure to work with. And the ordering process was both smooth and fast. Highly recommended.

Our range hood was installed mid December 2020 & we have found it to be very efficient & most importantly, quiet. We have an external motor & so the only noise we hear is air being sucked through the filters - no motor noise! Very glad we chose this option & would recommend it to family & friends.
