Approached ODO to design our house. I gave them a budget of $800k. During the process I kept asking them if we should get a builder to give an estimate on the cost but Jon continually told me not to worry. Suspicious the design features and size would exceed the budget, I offered to increase it to $1 million, which was confirmed by email. After paying over $40,000 the costings came back from the QS: $2.2 million. That's right, $2.2 million! What a waste of 12 months and tens of thousands of dollars. Fortunately, I found an architect who could stay on budget to use for our new house and townhouse development projects. Business now lost to ODO. I would never trust them again with any of my projects.
