Drum Lessons with Shane Carpini

My 7year old started his first music lessons with Shane. We're so grateful that he's learnt his first music theory and rhythm skills with Shane who makes the lessons fun and interesting with enough challenge each week as well. He is patient and always ensures his lessons run on time and the online google classroom videos are helpful too when my son has forgotten what he did in the lesson! :)

My son is absolutely loving the lessons with Shane. Shane is great at bringing natural creativity out and ensures lessons are fun, but the exact amount of repetition needed to learn competently. Highly recommend Shane if you are a complete beginner to wherever you want to go in your music journey.

Shane Carpini is an experienced drum teacher who is fantastic at engaging students of all ages and teaching valuable drum techniques and styles. My 8 gear old son has been attending his lessons for 2 years and absolutely loves it!

With no prior experience my 14 year old son started lessons with Shane and absolutely loves it. Shane is an excellent teacher who is patient, passionate and professional and after only 5 months of lessons my son is the proud owner of a drum kit and loves practicing. Great instructor. Really patient with the kids and explains things well. Also he is a fan of Tool, so he knows what real drumming is.

We have been going to drum lessons with Shane for approximately 18 months. Shane is a fantastic teacher who connects with all his students; he is people orientated and professional. His ability to understand each student's capabilities and his enormous capacity for patience make him a great teacher.My son has improved in so many ways from his lessons with Shane; his level of coordination, increased attentiveness, self-esteem, self-expression, and motivation have made each class invaluable.My son confidently plays the drums and looks forward to his weekly lessons. Shane makes practice fun by inspiring excitement into his students' sessions, encouraging them to work on their skills and providing positive feedback that promotes practice and dedication.

Highly recommended! Shane is a remarkable tutor. My 13 year old has improved out of sight, and he loves going to his sessions. Shane is a very accomplished musician who is doing his Masters in Jazz at the Conservatorium, but he covers all styles of music - so my son has been able to practice IMP songs as well as his (beloved) rock songs. The really cool thing is that there are two drum kits in the tuition space so sometimes they can play together. It's a great experience for my son to see and how it should look and sound - really invaluable. And fun!

Shane is an excellent drum teacher. My son started when he was just 5 years old and hence being so young concentration was limited. Shane was able to adjust his teaching so that it was fun but also supported the opportunity to learn and progress at each lesson. Shane has 2 drum kits which allows for interaction with the student and direct feedback to be given. Shane guides you as to when to engage in opportunities such as 'Trinity College' exams. He is friendly but professional and a very patient and genuine drum teacher.

Learning drums with Shane is quite an immerse experience. He opened me to the world of drumming and helped me become a more confident ambidextrous. Always wanted to write with both my hands! A very skilled drummer and patient teacher. His professional communication and theory skills explore the basic fundamentals of drumming as well as learning it quickly and easily. I had never played drums before and found his teaching style easy to follow. I would recommend Shane for ultimate beginners as well as intermediate players of all ages.

Shane is an absolute star at drumming, but more importantly at teaching the fundamentals of drumming. My daughter has been going there for 2 years and her confidence and her skill has skyrocketed!! She can read complex sheet music outside of drum music sheets and has joined the school band. Shane is patient and has the ability to connect with kids and deliver sometimes complex explanations in a simple way.
