Maurer Family Funerals

Regrettably used Maurer family funerals for my father’s service, and found them to be very insensitive and unprofessional. They did not listen to our instructions at all- for the entry we had 4 pallbearers ready to carry his casket down the aisle to a specific song, and next thing we know the casket was being wheeled in by the funeral director with no music at all. They were also untrustworthy with the invoicing, quoting us for additional costs that were never incurred (e.g. ‘after hours’ pick up and transporting of my father’s body, when it was actually midday on a week day). This concerns me that they take advantage of people’s grief for their own profit - hoping these ‘add-ons’ will go unnoticed. We wrote a letter expressing our disappointment, but never received a response. Very poor.

Cannot thank Nick and his staff enough for pulling together my hopes and wishes for Mums' funeral 2 weeks ago. I had to organise it all from the back of a tour bus in the NT and thanks to Maurer Family Funerals it was all that I hoped for, and all that I think Mum would have appreciated, thanks to them. I highly recommend their services from beginning to end.

I would sincerely like to thank Rebecca and all the staff who assisted me this last week for my sister Julia Lessanutti’s Funeral. Considering you did not have much time, you guided me through all the details, and I am ever so grateful. I used Maurer in 2011 for my fathers funeral and again in 2022 for my mother to be taken back to Italy with my father to be buried in their village.They were amazing from beginning to end.
