Wombat Cabin

Excellent accommodation, lot's of wildlife and friendly owner!

Wombat Cabin was a perfect choice for a 3-night stay in Sept. 2022 while we explored the Cradle Mountain area. The cabin's exterior looks far more rustic than the inside, which is very cozy and well appointed. Set up ideally for self-catering, as there are not many dining options nearby. The owner supplied us with lots of very thoughtful extras, so when we arrived late on the first day we were able to fill up without having to go out; wine, beer, cheeses, bacon, eggs, bread, cereals, sweet treats, and much more. A small washing machine is in the cabin and we used the drying rack placed in front of the very nice wood burning heater. The owner's home is located on the property; far enough from the cabin for complete privacy, but it was nice to know someone was close by, if needed. We were also invited to the house for the evening wildlife feeding, which was very special. Highly recommended!

Lovely self contained cabin about 15mins drive from Cradle Mountain NP. Comfortable and beautifully clean little house with lots of thoughtful touches. Surrounded by bush and pademelons, it is a stunning oasis in an already magical place.

The wombat cabin was perfect for our 2 night stay, the owners were lovely and made every effort to ensure products were gluten free. Such a beautiful cabin with gorgeous views. Would definitely stay again and encourage everyone to experience it.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Wombat Cabin in Tasmania, and I must say, it was an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable experience. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, and we found ourselves totally unwinding in the serene and peaceful surroundings. One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity to observe the local wildlife in the surrounding area.The cabin itself was well-equipped with everything we needed, and we enjoyed spending time together as a family cooking meals, playing board games, and simply enjoying each other's company.Overall, I highly recommend Wombat Cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable retreat in Tasmania. With its stunning location, comfortable accommodation, and the opportunity to observe local wildlife, it is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy time with family.

Great little cottage. Incredibly well equipped with everything you need. Good pantry supplies and fridge well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay at wombat cottage.
