Playgroup Plus Camp Hill

If I could give more than 5 stars to Laura at Playgroup Plus Camp Hill I would.The waitlist to join this group is long, and for good reason! Laura is a sensational facilitator who dedicates many hours each week planning and preparing a wide range of engaging and fun activities and experiences.My kiddos and I absolutely love the structure of this playgroup. Each week begins with outdoor/messy play, through to story and food time on the mat inside (a favourite of many with Laura’s fabulous book reading!), followed by indoor play/table top activities and finishing up with singing and dancing.As an educator myself, I am always blown away by Laura’s ability to connect and engage with each child and family member every week. Laura exudes warmth and care with all of her interactions and makes each little person at playgroup feel special.My often reluctant and usually shy 3 year old now can’t wait for playgroup and boasts her own 5+ ⭐️ review wherever she goes telling anyone she can about “her playgroup” and the fun she has there.Thank you Laura! We absolutely love playgroup each week and love to be a part of this magical little community that you have created.

This playgroup is not inclusive and does not accomodate for children with individual needs. The woman who runs it is very rude insensitive and behaves like a bully.We went to the trial with my child. My child did not agree to sit and join the group during reading time due to his individual needs and limited English. He attempted to play around this group and that would have been his way to show interest and engage with others in the new setting. However the lady told us that he must sit and listen or leave.Then she approached me and when I tried to explain her what happened she said “this is what this place is about, maybe it’s not for you then”. I felt that my child was excluded and discriminated against. She didn’t attempt to understand our situation or apologise, or at least to be empathetic.Left in tears, worst experience ever, and I have been to many playgroups before.When I left my review on Facebook she simply hid it so no one can see - it says a lot about quality of this playgroup.

Our family highly recommend playgroup plus in camp hill. It’s such a welcoming group of families and it has been a great introduction for our family to the area.Laura is such a gem!! Always smiling and welcoming to everyone and really makes you feel comfortable even when your little one is having a tantrum or causing a fuss, Laura always helps to calm the situation and is so reassuring to us parents in those tricky situations.We love the new and fun activities every week and it’s really great to watch the kids learn and explore. The structure to the morning is fantastic and teaches the kids so many skills in following the routine.Playgroup is definitely a highlight to our week!!!

Me and my daughter love going! Just moved to Australia so everything was very new but so glad to have found this playgroup, felt very welcoming from the start and we both enjoy it very much! Every week there are new and different activities or something similar but a lot of times with a different twist so every child can have enough options to play and do what they like. My daughter needed some time to open up and be herself but laura gave her that and now she feels so comfortable and is running around just like at home! So defenitely would recommend if you are looking for a good playgroup!

As a Mum of two young children (aged 1 and 4), I cannot recommend Playgroup Plus Camp Hill more highly! 5 stars! Laura is so welcoming to all adults and children, she goes out of her way to plan all the activities and learning experiences for the children. No two weeks are ever the same. We have been attending for 3 years now and will continue until the youngest starts Prep. It really caters for all ages. The friendships formed with adults and children are also great. We also love the structure of the sessions (outdoor time/morning tea/book/indoor time/music time), it really paces the length of the session well & encourages all children to get involved. Laura herself is so lovely, welcoming and warm; she is an absolute gem.

I highly recommend this playgroup. We've been attending for two terms now, and the girls (3yrs & 14months) look forward to it each week!We recently moved to the area, so we joined the playgroup to meet local families and get our youngest interacting with other kids.The facilitator, Laura, is great - every week is well-planned and structured, with a combo of outside play, story time, play stations inside and then music to finish off... the kids get to know the structure and participate in tidy up.A few times I've been the only Dad attending, I've found the group inclusive and welcoming. All the parents/grandparents get involved and help out each others kids throughout the session.If you're new to the area or looking for a well-run playgroup for you and your kids, you should check this one out!

I love attending Playgroup Plus at Camp Hill. Laura does an amazing job setting up new and inviting indoor and outdoor activities each week. The structure and routine is excellent at preparing kids for Kindy. It is a well resourced and Laura is creative and stimulating for the kids. We have made some great friends and the kids and I love going each week. I would highly recommend it!
