Not only can you smell the food, you can also smell the passion in this place - The food has exceptionally great quality ingredients more importantly the chefs seem to very much understand the virtues of a balanced approach to flavor in their dishes - I had 3 different ones. I am certain in my taste bugs that all things are made in house - Sauces, Fillings, Sides.Thoroughly impressed with the food and have not been more excited about a new restaurant in months.The staff are friendly and although your not going to feel like your at a some fancy restaurant, I can say you might just feel like family.and lastly as far as prices go - I don't care at this stage, for this I would easily drive 30+ minutes as well.

The food is delicious with very fair price, pizza is really delicious, the staff is very attentive and friendly, we had a great time and will come back for sure!!

Matilda Cafe is a much needed addition to the area!! Their BBQ meat lover wood-fired pizza is to die for, and their coffee is the perfect fuel.

Visited on a Thursday afternoon at approx 3pm for an hour. Ordered coffees which were nice and a bowl of chips. Tried to order a dessert but was advised that the kitchen was closed which was disappointing.Reason for the drop of 1 star is the cleanliness of the seating areas. Upon walking in, 2 tables were left with dirty dishes with customers already gone, during our visit another 2 tables became free but dishes remained. We remained in the restaurant for an hour, there was no attempt to clean any of the tables during this time.

Great new local restaurant.Went on a quiet weeknight, we were the only patrons - excited to see this get busier as they get better.Pizza was lovely, service was nice but yea could tell they are working through some teething issues. I would suggest doing something about the sliding door, especially during winter as anytime someone walked past you got a massive breeze.Overall good food, great staff, wishing them the best of luck!

Coffee was decent. Pizza was good.Enough room for improvement especially with customer service.Minor things that add up. Coffee was served in a takeaway when I said I was having in. No greetings whatsoever when you enter the place, you're kind of puzzled wheter to have a seat or wait for then to usher you.Pizza could have been cooked a tad bit more as the crust was still a little under. Also, was expecting for it to be spicier as it had chillies.Still I would go back but maybe after a while when they have settled down.

Too expensive this is Clyde north. $9.50 for one a little piece of carrot cake? $9.50 for one vanilla slice? Coffee is good but very slow on Saturday mornings only 1 person making coffee and you may have to wait 20+ mins, no acknowledgement from the staff like “thanks for waiting”. Will not be back.

Great coffee, I have visited a couple of times before the kids swimming lessons on a Saturday morning. Just a couple of things, the girl taking the orders needs to let the customers get to the counter before asking for an order. A smile and happiness goes a long way. It feels like she doesn't want to be there. To me feels like she has come from McDonald's. Happiness and interaction with customers will increase your sales and get more repeat customers.Also 10% weekend surcharge. Other cafes in the area do not charge this, if they do they build it into their pricing, having the sign up is very off putting.Public holidays I understand.Overall I recommend Matilda's as it is a great concept and quality food and coffee.

Delicious wood fired pizza, in particular the Gambari. Friendly staff and good service. Looking forward to more of the menu rolling out.
