New owners took over in January 2023 and two great cooks in the kitchen. The best $10 roast on a Sunday ... you have to taste to believe!Live music is back.I had lunch here today and was very impressed :)

So happy we found ourselves at the Captain Sturt after meandering from Mildura. Fabulous live music out the back in the lovely beer garden. Even though it was mothers day and we didn't book, they still managed to fit us in for a lovely meal. Outstanding, friendly service.

Staff were friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful.Lovely cheap $10 meals for Saturday lunch. I had fresh cooked beer battered fish, chips and salad. My partner had a chicken, bacon, cheese burger with chips. Both meals were large and cooked to order. My fish was battered to order. Best battered fish I have had for over 10 years. Beers lovely and cold and not over-priced.Recommend highly.

Nice place to eat pub style meals. The best component of this place is the people. Great conversations with all staff and locals. Nice evening 2ith parking out front.

Great service. freindly staff , recent trip had to send fish back was under cooked batter was soft chips tasted liked been fried twice .Waitress was excellent. Well done Kate in resolving the issue
