Recently needed my air-con fan repaired. Being a woman I have had bad experiences with mechanics etc insisting my car needed things ($$$) that it didn't need. (looking at you Express Lube). Was quoted a price that was comparable to the research I had already done, so parts ordered with deposit. Took about 3-4 weeks for parts to arrive, I'm assuming COVID still impacting these times. Booked in and fixed. Very easy for me. They are very busy (well deserved) so if possible book in advance. I will absolutely be using them again. Very happy!

Be very careful before signing off any work without getting a price first. I've worked in the mechanical trade for over 15 years and know a brake light bulb replacement should be $10-20+ Gst Maximum. These guys charge substantially more and then claim they have a minimum labour fee of $55.00 (for Half hour work) regardless if he spends only 3 minutes installing it. He also claims sob stories that he loses a lot of electricians to the local mines so has to charge this much. Pffffffft, what a load of old cobblers! They leave because they don't want to be associated with someone who rips off innocent customers. They also leave oil and grease marks over your lamp and finger prints over the paintwork and trims without getting a rag to easily wipe off. . . Poor form Tim Passfield.

Awesome customer service. Staff went above and beyond. Honest and great price. Tim solved and fixed a long term problem with our Ford Ba that no other mechanic in Cessnock could fix. We are rapped with result. Highly recommend. Thanks Tim.

During my many years of road trip holidays, I've managed to break down near several regional towns but this is the first time that my situation (non-local) was not placed on a higher priority. After joining the back of the queue, my parts were ordered late and I incurred extra accommodation expenses and cancelled a part of my holiday plans.

On a recent quick trip to Cessnock my alternator belt amongst other things failed..being stranded in Cessnock I took a chance having my car towed to Passfield not knowing anything about them..after explaining my situation and having to stay in a hotel over night they somehow worked a miracle the following day and repaired my Vito Van before lunch meaning I did not have to make another 300km round trip. Service was fantastic and the price for repairs was well below what I expected..highly recommended

Customers BEWARE !!I have used this business before, and I thought i'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Silly me.It’s now time for me to explain the experience I had today, on the 25/08/2021, when I had taken my vehicle in for it's e-safety check.I cannot stress this enough to the community or anyone who has business, or is contemplating utilising this business. My issues starts with the front desk and the receptionists inability to communicate efficiently or professionally. She didn't appear to be listening, as she could not really keep up with what was going on. She refused to fill out the basic paperwork which would be a basic part of her job description. After all they charge a admin fee. She also didn't supply any clean pens, making me use her dirty pen, contrary to any government covid-19 regulations, as she herself wasn’t interested in filling out forms. maybe she hadn’t woken up properly yet.Anyhow, whenI finally received a call telling me I had issues with my vehicle, I responded and asked how much it would be to fix the issues up. I’m serious when I tell you that she called me without a quote ready to go. (First red flag)The second issue was the exorbitant verbal price I was given.Third was the absolute refusal to supply a written quote once I questioned the price of a part, which was a king pin kit. I was told $380 for the pins. I then called a local truck supplier who could supply, and deliver them to my door for $160.After such an experience, and the the absolute lack of professionalism, by refusing to provide a breakdown of the quote by email, is why my business will be going elsewhere in the future, as this is clearly a well beyond inflated price. This is the logic-Delivery is free from the big 3 (supercheap/repco/burson)Mechanic margins vary from 10 to 50% on top of depending on what the part is. Anything above this is almost unheard of.My understanding is that a $220 dollar increase from retail, which a tradesman would never be charged anyway, is complete deception and totally unprofessional. For these reasons, I give you full warning to ask for itemised quotes at the start of the conversation, and to question everything and do your research, as their pricing is well beyond a joke.My experience with using this company has been completely negative, and I can tell you right now, it was a experience I’d rather forget.

Took my 1973 XB Coupe here and in a couple hours the dashboard gauges that hadn't worked since Jesus was a baby were all working, temp, oil pressure, voltage and petrol gauge, Awesome stuff, and no hacking up the wiring like most auto elecs!

Absolutely brilliant customer service. Arrived without notice at 8.30am with a failed alternator in my Prado. Within a couple of hours Tim had a brand new heavy duty alternator fitted & working. He also diagnosed a couple of other issues that will need addressing in the near future. All this for a very reasonable cost. Don't look any further than Tim for your automotive & electrical needs. Thanks again.
