Salvos Stores Palm Beach

I was very unhappy with the attitude of the man in the collection area at this store. I took about 6 bags of clothes, shoes and kitchen items from 3 households, some in bags to on sell. He told me to leave them at the door. Whilst I was unloading, 2 other ladies put some items there also. As I was finishing he came outside scrowling and asking if there was more. I said no and if it was too much, I would gladly take them to the other stores at Palm Beach. His response was this is enough

Always have loved the store however of late the prices have sky-rocketed , old cds & records are only worth $1 and $9 for an old t shirt is crazy, jeans etc far too much, don't mind paying $10 or more for top brands but Kmart & Lowes stuff for $$$$$ ????

Shockingly high prices on books. Text books were prices at $28 for old editions. I bought it on ebay for $15. Little wonder the shelves were rammed full of unsold books

Great layout, well organised, friendliest staff; especially Amanda who was extremely helpful with my teenage son Keep up the great work

I have been here on several occasions and have always found the staff to be very polite and helpful. You can get a really good bric-a-brac bargain at a great price. Why people whinge about staff (mostly volunteers) and prices, is unbelievable. You're going to an op-shop!! Show a bit of grace and expect that things might not work as they do in K-Mart. If you want a more professional shopping experience go to a normal shop!

14 minutes agoAfter many years of supporting you sadly we will no longer do so. The staff member we dealt with today was rude and unfriendly. We were treated with disrespect and like criminals trying to dump our goods there!! We understand there are certain items that can't be left with you due to covid but the delivery of the covid regulations was extremely rude. The comment made to the other staff member about us was very unprofessional too. Yes, people will get upset and become defensive when treated with such disrespect. Shame on you!

Absolutely love this shop. So well organised and colour coded. I didn't want to leave.

Being a disability support worker I had to go to the shop to correct a mistake ( my disabled client wasn't given the 50% discount from the loyalty card). The woman running the shop was very rude, disrespectful, ignorant and had no idea on how to discount. It took 40 minutes as she served other customers while I had to wait. She made me feel like a nuisance, never apologised and in the end only gave me $20 back instead of $52. I am just glad I went for my client as I know for sure, my client would have walked out crying under this poor degrading behaviour. I was told I should have been back early even though I explained that I care for my client only 2x a week and that my client should have picked up the mistake trying to blame us while chatting to other customers in between, singing and being very inappropriately and over the top flippant in her behaviour. I walked out the shop assistant yelled after me that a Thank you would have been appreciated! Wow! What for? For treating your customers like rubbish and lacking professionalism at the same time? You just lost 2 frequent loyal shoppers.

Visited the store today and asked if I could refund the items if they didn’t fit as I feel uncomfortable trying on clothes when it’s really hot outside. I didn’t think this was a particularly strange request as I work at Vinnies and we allow returns. The manager told me I would be able to exchange the items or receive store credit which is okay as every store has different policies. What wasn't okay was the fact after we left my friends informed me that the store manager was complaining about me, on the shop floor, in-front of customers, to other staff. Very disappointed as it is extremely unprofessional. Also a bit strange that no staff member/volunteer was able to answer any of my questions as all staff should be well educated on store policies and procedures.
