Wasn't happy with the cleaniness of our cabin- it was disgusting, our ceiling fan had cms thick of dust so did the air conditioner (not good for our asthmatic children), lino and curtains were ripped, walls were dirty, lino wasn't layed down properly and was moving, there was a big tile loose in the bathroom with grout missing, our bed was made but our childrens bed wasn't. The manager couldn't even ring us back the poor lady at the desk had to take our complaint- all we got was a sorry from her (not the manager/owner)Didn't even get offered another cabin or we got was well you did get it pretty cheap. $140 p/n is not that cheap considering I could of went to a motel for cheaper and no doubt more clean (in which I will be doing next time)Suggestions that might help better reviews are as follows;new cleaners!better customer service! An iron and iron boardmore than 1 sandwich plate wouldn't go a strayelectric frying panmore soapmore face washers(meaning enough for the exact guests that are there not just 1 or 2 when there is a family of 5)grip tape on tiles at front door to prevent slipping in the wet (as my husband did so)I could go on more but than I would just be picking at little things.

We booked online at the last minute for a quick weekend away. The pictures on the website are outdated, our cabin was modern extremely clean and functional ( 2 adults 2 kids). The Good- modern accomodation, one of the most beautiful walks to a beach I have ever been on through a wetland full of different Water birds. The park was extremely quiet and peaceful. The Negative. Pool only open October to May, TV could have been a bit bigger. That's about it. It's not a big4 and I'm thankful for that. I'd give it 4/12 out of 5 and can't wait to go back. Highly recommended and great value for money.

Everything is on top of everyone. And we went for a short holiday in the cabins its only got to2 of the smallest pots to cook for a family of 4 and to it off went to cook pancakes but of course there is no egg flip the only utensils is a wisk tongs and a plastic salad fork. Then the leather lounge is pealing so bits of black all over your cloths and over the floor.Would not recommend to any one to stay, its over priced

A REGRETFUL stay and will not return NOR recommend. Our Deluxe Cabin seem nice on arrival but was more on a par with a standard cabin. Car parking beside cabin way too small..you will struggle to fit a family sedan..forget about fitting your 4x4 so be prepared to walk from alternative carpark like we did. Try not to crush the gardens of the permanent residents as you park your SMALL CAR next to your cabin. Beds were not made and then wrong size linen supplied. OH- your linen is an additional cost - I've not experienced this before for a 'Deluxe Cabin'. Cockroaches were present, dodgy cooktop plates on top of small oven (no standard cook top present) and yes, you even have to find money for the BBQ! NO complimentary tea nor coffee supplies are present as apparently people are too messy with these! Cleaning equipment (ie brooms) were terribly dirty (I refused to use them) and the toilet seat was dangerously loose. AND - if you pass over your credit card to pay - you're slugged a surcharge! Asked for a small refund after sharing my concern but didn't receive. Was advised that I would be contacted after my grievances were passed on but this didn't happen either - so not happy considering this experience cost me $130+ for a family of 2 adults and 2 small children. My advice - go elsewhere. Or ask for a CABIN INSPECTION before you commit to a payment.

Basic cabin accommodation, it is what it is. Lots of cabins crowded very close to each other. Basic facilities, beach access is a fair hike, no real grounds to speak of for kids to play on apart from a small playground area and small pool on the main road. Not a very beachy or holiday feel, more like a retirement village. Staff were friendly although we had to make up the triple bunk bed ourselves with the supplied linen which really was very dangerous doing the top bunk. If you are in Newcastle to do lots of things out and about and just want this place to crash it's well priced and fine. If you are looking to stay somewhere with lots of things to do in a nice environment for the kids this isn't the place.

Overall, a lovely park with live in residents as well as cabins and sites for visitors. Whilst we were there, they were undergoing renovations of the main office area. This made it a little difficult to locate the main office initially for us as well as others who were checking in at the same time. A minor detail really but something that will hopefully be addressed when renovations are completed. The only other downside to the park was the very narrow streets, lots of speed humps, and quite narrow parking spots for vehicles beside the cabins. We own a Subaru Forester and found the cabin area quite tight to maneuver in. Pricing was good and the accommodation was also modern and clean

This is a retirement village and I agree should not be advertised as a holiday destination. The cabin we stayed in was very small but adequate for our needs as a couple. The parking facility for our vehicle was very tight and we had trouble parking our 4WD vehicle. I booked on line, and I believe by doing so angered the staff at the office as when I booked in, I received a very cool reception. We would not recommend staying at this park as a holiday destination.

Good value instead of a motel. the cabins are a good size and they have amenities so you can cook your own food. A good size fridge and A/C. There is a pool and BBQ area, I think the BBQ costs a dollar. As I Tempoary guest the place is great. I am not sure how they treat the permanent residents so I cant comment on that side of the park

Great quiet holiday Park. It is smaller than what I expected and i dont think it is really geared for kids. There is a small play area only. The beach access needs to be labeled that it takes a good 15 minutes walk and then another 5 minutes before you see water. The cabins are nice and clean but small. There is no stove so you will be limited in what you can cook. The tv is small but includes a DVD player so bring DVDs as the holiday Park does not provide them. The cabins have good aircon thank God as our stay got to a good 38 degrees in some days and it helped a lot and made it comfortable. The pool area was very nice and well looked after.Red head beach is only a 5 Min drive away and is an amazing beach indeed.Overall is was a good stay. Thanks

We had the most enjoyable stay at this venue the cabin was very clean and cosy. A short walk to the beach the residents were wonderful with everyone we seen said hello or stopped and had a chat. The staff were also wonderful and so was the price. AAA+
