Berry Taxi Service

Do not rely on this service. We phoned one week before our holiday to make sure Berry Taxi could help us out, the response was positive.We arrived in Shoalhaven and phoned in the early afternoon to book this service, again we got a positive response and were advised to phone 30 mins before departure.When we proceeded to do so we got a rude ‘no, I can’t help you’. We had to cancel a dinner booking that evening.The following day we went into town for an early dinner - again we phoned the same company who told us ‘yes we can take you home, please wait outside your venue’ Berry Taxi never showed up. Poor service

Confirmed booking and they didn’t show up. Tried calling and texting, no answer. Late at night in the middle of nowhere waiting for them. We were stranded.

DO NOT USE for your own safety!One star because we got to our destination & home alive.Booked 11 seater & confirmed the day prior as it was for a wedding, did not show at the booked time, said they did not have the booking, thankfully we’d allowed plenty of time & still made the wedding even though the taxi arrived half an hour late. Had to tell the rude, obnoxious driver several times to slow down. Return trip in the evening, called as the taxi was not there at the time booked, same driver, rude & abrupt, showed up half an hour late again, dangerous driving, one of our group even offered to drive for him!Finally home, let him know we were unimpressed with the terrible service, his reply ‘it’s a taxi service not a limousine’Avoid at all costs!

Do NOT use this service. Do not rely on it to get you to your destination. The old tubby guy who drives the maxi taxi is completely mad. He turned up 25 min early, verbally abused me, and then refused to take me to my destination. The next night my mother booked this taxi service to take a group home from my sisters wedding. Taxi never turned up.There are RIPE opportunities for Uber drivers in Berry!!!

This is the worst service I have ever experienced, I had called the company last night for a 7 min ride and was told it would be nicer to walk in the rain because he couldn’t pick up my party of 10 because they were soon to be closing.As a business owner myself I was disgusted in his lack of professionalism and inability to show respect to his customers, I would rather send my children in a Uber than ever consider getting a Berry taxi service. To the CEO or managing staff I would reconsider the staff you are hiring that is representing your business. You should be ashamed of yourselves.We specifically called at 7pm to confirm what time the business closes and we were told 12am however we called at 10:30pm and we’re told to “walk in the rain.. f yourself..” when confronted with his rude behaviour.After the call, I jumped on google to read the reviews and can’t believe this business is still operating!!!!!

I called yesterday & booked a taxi for tonight and the car never showed up. Very disappointing! When I called the company to find out what happened, the man was quite rude and completely unapologetic. I would not recommend.

Very rude phone communication so I didn’t use his service. Would rather walk than give him my money!

SCAMMERS Quite possibly the worst taxi service I have ever used. We were over charged for a short fair- having since learned the true cost of the journey! We paid $80 for a 15 minute drive which we later the same evening paid $40 for! Exploring tourists is not acceptable.

The Berry taxis hold a monopoly on their market and they take full advantage of it. 10 min taxi drive and they hit us for $50. If there are any other options, I’d suggest you use them. Operators like these are the first to complain about Uber. But they are the reason Uber exists. At least Uber is honest and tell you the price before you ride. We were told the price should be around $25 but apparently there’s nothing stopping them charging what ever they like, it’s an easy killing when there’s no alternative.

After reading the negative reviews we were worried our cab wouldn’t come but it arrived right on time. Our driver was lovely and got us home safely. Very reasonably priced. It’s great to be in a small town that has a cab service. Thank you for getting us back to our accommodation.
