Yes the wait can be little crazy. I always avoid it, first time to see the line quite empty so I jumped in. the selection of food and quality is pretty amazing. coffee was average as afew people have said. def. worth a visit if you near by. near the shopping centre square and has plenty of parking nearby and a tram stop.

Listen up, my fellow truth-seekers! A decade of treading the gritty streets of Devon has bestowed upon me a seasoned wisdom in the ways of pasties. But let me tell you, dear readers, that my recent escapade in Melbourne brought me face to face with a pasty so remarkable, it gave the Devonian classics a run for their money. It was a revelation, a gustatory awakening that made me question everything I thought I knew about these savory delights. Now, let's set the scene. Picture a bustling bakery, teeming with life like the city streets at rush hour. The air hums with the sweet scent of baked perfection, drawing in hungry souls like moths to a flame. Yet amidst the chaos, the staff, my friends, are a sight to behold. They move with the precision and fluidity of a well-oiled machine, their movements choreographed with a finesse that would make Fred Astaire jealous. Efficiency is their creed, and they wear it like a badge of honor. So mark my words, when you stumble upon a bakery where the queue stretches longer than a gumshoe's rap sheet, yet the staff glide through the chaos with a dexterity that would leave even the most nimble-fingered pickpocket in awe, you know you've hit the jackpot. Prepare yourself for a pasty experience that will unravel your taste buds like a carefully crafted mystery, leaving you yearning for more clues to the secrets hidden within those delectable folds of pastry.

It was a lovely brunch here. We need to get in a bit earlier next time as the creamy veg pies and the veggie pasties were gone. We also brought back home an almond croissant and a cinnamon donut which is massive!

Okay, so the ambience, layout, price and service at this bakery suck--but the bread and cakes are so good they deserve 4 stars.Pies? Flawless. Prosciutto baguette? Unreal. Almond croissant? Unbelievable.Put your service counter on the opposite side of the cafe so that people can queue in the shop. Label your pastries. List your prices. Turn the music down. Also, coffee is bad.But I guess they don't really have to do any of that because the end product is so good.

Soooooo good!!! Amazing custard donut, the texture and density is the best I have had in Melbourne! Very spongy and fresh! Jam donut is too sweet for me but custard donut is perfect with a coffee! The Lotus cronut was so good, very puffy crispy pastry and the layers were well separated! It’s a bit too sweet as well, I like the Oreo cronut better because of the dark chocolate coating and the cookies and cream filling. There were so many items to choose from. There is always a line on the weekend so make sure you go early and prepare to spend sometime waiting! There were 3 staff working on the weekend and they were all very efficient! The coffee was very good too, love that it’s extra hot, perfect for cold rainy morning!

Lovely bakery with various selection of pie, coffee, cakes, sweet and savoury croissants/bagel/bread etc. I tried their mochacinno and pie with red cherry on top (actually forgot the name of it, sorry), the taste matched with my taste buds but the egg taste in the pie was too strong for me. Other than that, everything’s okay. Also, the location is very strategic, across coles supermarket and near the bus stop which make it so easy to be reached

All pastries look good so it was hard to decide which one I should go!I got the passion fruit cronut which had a nice citrus flavored filling as well a berry danish which had amazing custard cream. They don’t have a price tag so a little bit confusing.

Village Bakery is my benchmark for bakeries. I used to live next door, and I wish I still did. I've been coming here for over a decade and I cannot fault anything. The pies are stunning, the cronuts consistently interesting, the danishes delicious, and the sourdough of top quality. And that's just starting on the praise. I don't know how you sustain quality this good for so long, but Village Bakery has done it. You're making a mistake if you skip this place.

Good bakery, always popular. My go to items are: butter chicken pie, sausage roll, almond crosoint.Whilst there is table and chairs for instore dining, and knife and forks provided, they don't serve or place food on plates. They have overcharged a few times, so check your prices.Overall, one of the better bakeries in Melbourne.
