Last minute decision to go on a boat ride. We should have booked. But then weLucked into a man at the gate. Wow. What a day. Packed our lobster lunch and off we went. Greeted by Kerry our skipper and Ja his crew. Amazing scenery and knowledgeable commentary. Talk about upClose and personal. Tea. Cake . And lobster rolls under the pink granite. Could not recommend this charter highly enough. Take yourPicnic lunch. The bubbles and take theTrip. You will love it. The 4 ducks.

After driving 2 hours and 45 minutes from Hobart to visit wineglass Bay, only to find out that there is a 45 minute hike to the viewing point and another 30 minute walk down to the beach. With 3 kids and the in-laws and a hot day it was a bit difficult. We found Freycinet charters and they are able to take you to take us to hazards beach and from there it is on a 30 minute walk on level ground. Our driver was Taz and yes that’s his real name. Taz from Tassie. Apparently his parents say it has nothing to do with Tassie. He was a wonderful guy with knowledge of the area and on time. Thanks guys for making that day a memorable one otherwise would have been a disappointment.

I chartered a boat for ~4 hours around the peninsula and over to Wineglass Bay, and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. I made the booking last-minute (literally the night before) with Stephen who was leaving the office but made some calls on my behalf. He put me in touch with Kerry and Kim, a lovely Australian couple who couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating. They have lots of great knowledge about the area which they were happy to share, and Kerry is a very seasoned and capable skipper. We had spectacular weather and saw the largest pod of common dolphins I've ever encountered. While our weather was uncommonly good, the boat design is also well-suited to the changeable climate of Tasmania, with plenty of shelter and a nice warm cabin. Kim brought along some homemade blackberry muffins she had made the day before and we had plenty of hot coffee and tea which was perfect after a swim in the fresh waters at Wineglass. They also took my/their temperatures prior to boarding and disinfected the surfaces of the boat after our trip so take covid safety seriously as well. Highly recommend!!

We were so lucky to stumble across Freycinet Charter via a local recommendation. This is a newly started, family run business led by Stephen (skipper), his wife Di, and their son Casper. It is unbelievably good value for money compared to the larger operators who sandwich you in with as many as 100+ ppl, and charge more for the experience!A beautiful brand new Cat which can comfortably seat 6 people for a private trip. We were a private group of 4.Stephen was incredibly helpful and even went out of his way to source local oysters for us to have on board! We set-off for 4hrs (strongly recommend paying a little extra for the additional hour), being dropped at hazard beach for a lovely 30min walk to wineglass bay. Took our own bottle of fizz and sat watching the waves come in. Returned to the boat where Stephen and Casper took us along the coast and shared some of their local knowledge, enriching our experience.Don't be put off by the fact there aren't many review online. As I said, they just had the boat delivered 3 weeks ago.Support a great local operator and reap the benefits.Fantastic experience.

We really enjoyed our day out with Freycinet Charters! Stephen was so good to work with - he was friendly, responsive and very accommodating to move our booking when the weather forecast came through. Kerry was our skipper and he went above and beyond to show us the beautiful bays and coastline. He even took us to a spot with 100s of dolphins! They swam/jumped alongside the boat, was pretty spectacular. Thanks for making our trip so memorable!

Outstanding 4 hours. Colourful lichen cliffs, amazing rock forms and falls, sea caves, great history info and wildlife - albatross, gannets, shearwaters, dolphins, seals, stingrays rounded off with turquoise bays and white beaches. Oh, and Kerry was a great knowledgeable skipper. Great personalised service from Steve as well. Thanks guys.

Our group has used Freycinet Charters multiple times over the years to visit Schouten island and we always received top service from Stephen and Kerry. The boat is super comfortable and the skippers friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Missed the boat quite literally even though we were 15 minutes early for our scheduled charter!! When we contacted the operators by phone we were told that they had been trying to contact us all day. Yet no missed calls, sms messages or emails except for the initial confirmation message for the booking. Terrible service, and ruined our plans for our wedding anniversary!! Had a nice dinner on the rocks instead (to the right of the jetty on) and will put the 400 bucks we saved to good use!! Steer clear
