Chemist Warehouse Altona - Pier Street

Had the pleasure of attending this store today. I not only found the head pharmacist to be knowledgeable and helpful but extremely accommodating, he went far n beyond my expectations. The staff in the store were courteous and somewhat jovial, giving the store a real sense of familial environment, the same feeling of warmth you get when you visit mum and dads for a Sunday roast with the rest of your siblings. I can't wait to return, I'm almost looking forward to being unwell

Absolutely disgusting. The head pharmacist and owner was sneezing coughing and sniffling all over the place. He was clearly sick but he was working without even a mask! The front staff tried to normalise this behavior by saying it's just the flu". It does not matter if it's covid

Really lacking on the customer service front. Recommend going to the other chemist down the road, much better service, same price, much nicer store and pharmacist as well.

Staff were lovely and so helpful! Although it is a small store, I was accurately guided through to find what I needed, and was always met with friendly staff from the sales assistants to the pharmacists.

Today I was buying a few products here and also asked to exchange a moisturiser, which was new in packaging with the receipt from another Chemist Warehouse store. I was asked by a female staff member whether I had opened it and I confirmed I had not. I was shocked that she then repeatedly and accusatorily asked me why the box had plastic on the outside and refused to accept that it had come that way when I bought it. The way she spoke to me in front of other staff and customers, implying I had tampered with the item, caused me embarrassment and distress. Even if there was some policy preventing her from facilitating the return/exchange of that product, this should have been handled in a polite and respectful way.

Wonderful experience today with Chemist Warehouse in Altona. Had a sick child at home and needed medication for them. I called and the staff (Kirsten) were so helpful and a wealth of knowledge. I am very lucky that this is my local chemist. Highly recommend.

I’m really like the variety

There is a real workplace issue here. The way the staff were looking at me was like it was with contempt. Apart from a lovely brunette worker, I found the staff to be rude and unhelpfull. It's called customer service. We would better off with robots.

Friendly staff. Always helpful. Great service. So polite. Constantly fast service. PS priopitor if you read this I want free stuff...lol

Great products but there is a real workplace culture issue here. Each time I go in the staff are very cliquey, that’s fine, but today I saw them speaking horribly to each other. Senior staff seemed to gang up on a younger staff member and make fun of him, when he stood up for himself they laughed. Not very nice to be around!
