Shower and toilets on the older side but very clean and high hygiene standards maintained. Communal kitchen has stainless steel benches and open social style area. Staff are helpful and very nice people, try too look after guests. Highly recommend.

Extremely well run. We really enjoyed our time here. Close to shops, train station, Bunnings, Supercheap and Club Pine Rivers.Amenities are dated but always clean. The Camp Kitchen is enormous with a fridge, hot plates, microwave and sink.Dump point and skip bins. Laundromat is a 2 minute drive. Most sites have power and water.

A secret no more for us, from the staff to the site to amenities to the price this is a great stay.

Great big open area and grass everywhere. Nice place to camp.

Great place to visit, and the price per night is sufficient for amenities provided. Walking distance to shopping centre, Buntings, chemist etc.The staff when booking were very helpful and courteous. Will book again when visiting this area.

Pine River Showgrounds is a great spot to park. It's $30 per night and offers hot showers, potable water and electricity. The show grounds is very well maintained, grassy, clean and secure area. The caretakers are very welcoming and friendly and take really good care the the grounds. The area is very large and spots are aptly spaced from each other. The ground is grassy with some odd brown patches however very manageable. The showgrounds has a toilet block right next to the shower block where the common room in is located, they also have a herb garden near it. The other toilet block and shower is right next to the caretakers area near the front gate. The showground is also home to a boxing facility and youll catch the members train around the grounds. When you check in to you are given a key which opens the main gate and the showers. The toilet and showers are well stocked with toilet paper and soap and clean. The showgrounds is conveniently located next to the Lawnton swimming centre. Right across the road is the Lawnton Train station and behind it is a laundry mat service. The showgrounds unfortunately doesn't have and laundry facilities however you can have your laundry done across the road if you don't want to do them by hand and have bulk washing. The showgrounds is also next to Bunnings and a toy world. A 5 minute walk to the Lawnton Market place where there is a fruit and vegetable shop, chemist, GP, Spar grocery and a bakery. If you want to shop at Coles, Big W or the other big shops, about 30 - 45 min walk is the Strathpine Mall that has the major retail shops and on the walk there you swill see several shops for your vehicle need like Super cheap auto and Jaycar. Night time at the showgrounds are pretty quite aside from the sounds of numerous birds like the bats and the curlew, sometimes to our would chance across some travellers using the common room as a music/ karaoke area. All in all the showground is a must stay when in Brisbane. It's good value for your money and near major transportation if you don't have a car and need to visit Brisbane CBD. We went to a food trucks event, which I think is just starting out. Would be good for more community support so the event gets bigger. Had live music and good variety of food options, but seating and tables very limited. I'm keen to hear of more events happening at the showgrounds

It was a great car show plenty of old cars and hot rods and rat rods worth the trip

(Dog friendly) We stayed 6D5N in a powered site. While the Showground is huge, you will be surprised that the take up rate is extremely high. Something to note was there were only 2 amenities block. You will need a key to access the shower room. If you were sited at the other end of the Oval, you will need to walk quite a distance to access the toilet and shower.Location wise, it was very well sited, Bunnings and super cheap auto just outside the Showground. There was a night market in the weekend (Saturday) and they have nice wood fired pizza, which we should had tried.

I went to the Pine Rivers Showgrounds for the Pasifika vibes festival. Good example that a festival does not need to be overly big to be a good one. Unfortunately i did not have a lot of time before work, but the vibes were so good. Looked like enough parking. Free entry. Couple of the food stands had a huge line so i did not get a chance before work. There was even a few shaded areas provided.
