It’s up there with the finest K-BBQ restaurants in Sydney. Especially the marinated pork ribs. It’s safe to walk right in.The chef of KangChon knows how to make good Korean food with a real depth.You can taste it in their side dishes, sauces and marinated meat.I had the smoked duck, pork belly, Wagyu beef, marinated pork ribs, Japchae and soft tofu stew.If you want the true K-BBQ experience, you got to cook your meat on hot charcoals. This is the true Korean BBQ so make sure you try this as well.They give generous amount of greeneries and I felt like I was BBQing in the middle of Seoul.For these reasons I give this place 4 bears.

We went to enjoy the bbq there but got the worst embarrassment. We were placed in a small table and thought they would come to get the order. But waited for 15 mins just to be noticed. The customer service is zero, below the ground. Nobody came to see us but for the other customers who arrived after us& who spoke same language as them, they were very friendly, took the orders and food was already served on their table. I never had witnessed that sort of service before and decided to leave.Ps even 1 star is not worthy.

You shouldn't visit this restaurant unless you already know what you're getting into. Good food with good portions but the service is not really friendly. Different quality during lunch and dinner service as well

Food here is amazing. I don't mind the price as long as the food tastes good. Love the variety of veggies (contradicts with the poor amount of veggies at other Korean bbq restaurants and thus is a huge plus).I tried the marinated pork ribs and marinated beef ribs (the charcoal menu), and the bean paste soup (?) (not so sure of the name). Food was very good to me.Service is nice, I asked for more side dishes (panchan?), chillies and garlic and dipping sauce and they gladly gave me those.I would highly recommend this place!

I don't think I've left a 1 star review in years but I had a bad experience here.Staff seemed to ignore our table alot and were dismissive when we try to order or get their attention.However for other tables who were speaking Korean, the staff were overly friendly and laughing all the time together.Examples were when we finished our kimchi (tiny side dish for whole table), we kindly asked for a refill which they simply ignored all night.We spent about $200 with 5 of us (2 girls who don't eat much) and we left hungry, going to Strathfield for more. The portions are small here.We were on a tiny table which isn't there fault, however we had charcoal bbq and we ended up having to put things on the floor, we tried to finish 1 dish at a time to clear up the table and when I asked if they could take the empty plates away, they got upset by sighing and snickering, we didn't feel welcomed at all.

Poor customer service, we visited on Monday around 4:40 p.m. Only 2 tables were seated at the time, we were waiting around 5 minutes to be seated but nobody approached us, We asked the staff if we may sit here for 2 people. no responses, decided to look for the table ourselves. ok no problem.After deciding, we called the staff three times to take orders after we were seated and twice for the menu. None of the personnel ever smiled, and their faces were always gloomy.We ordered hot pot and i asked for the kimchi the staff told me they were out of kimchi today because the restaurant was so packed.since we were in restaurant the staff never communicated with us,ever the worst customer, promised never back

We have missed this kind of Korean food. It is real real Korean food. Even if this restaurant opens in Korea, it will be famous with this delicious food. I was healed with this food since I've lived in Australia over 6 years. I can highly recommend leaf wraps set and Spicy fish roe soup, Pan-fried fish. Also soybean paste soup was so good^^ Thanks~
