Independent Living Specialists - Randwick Store

This is a disgraceful service for a company who supposedly cares about people with disability. We tried to get a wheelchair brake fixed and it has been over a month. 3 weeks into it we get a call from qld office to see if they can fix it over the phone. What a joke. Told them it is urgent and need a service asap. They said will log a service call and still not a word 5 weeks later. Very very disappointed.

No one answer the phone and no one responds to emails from their own website. If you get through Switch say someone will ring back. Very frustrating

Driven across Sydney to Randwick store - unstaffed despite during stated opening hours. Called office who had no idea, unable to find out when/if staff member would be attending work

The absolute worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. We bought a recliner chair for $2,500. We had to return it as it did not work for my mother. I told the company this within one working day. After paying the $280 deliver set up fee. They said they would charge that again plus $500 (20%) off the purchase price. But would refund the rest. So they can to take it away. So they were charging $1000 to have it for one day. But my mum was sick and I just needed it out so I could make space for another chair. This was TWO months ago and still no refund. No longer answering my calls.I highly recommend not dealing with this company

I'd like to premise this by saying if there was an option to provide a zero star rating I would have chosen it. I have been waiting since early August 2022 for delivery of a Walker and an over the toilet commode. I paid for it as soon as it was ordered. I have spoken to Charlotte and Angus on numerous occasions and as of 7 November have still not received these products for my 89 year old mother who is very frail. As I had not heard a word from ILS Randwick, I called and spoke with Charlotte and Angus on various occasions to enquire about an expected delivery date. I was promised a 20 October delivery. That never happened. I spoke with Emma on 4/11 who promised a 7 November delivery. That hasn't eventuated either. They don't even call you to say there is a delay. Inept is putting it kindly. I spoke with Angus again today (7/11). He didn't even have the correct delivery address and said it would be coming Wed 9/11. My poor mother has been waiting since early August for this delivery. I am at my wits end as a Carer who cannot even get an over the toilet commode or walker that I had paid for months ago. Their service regarding this supposed delivery has now become comical. I will be reposting on Wed 9/11 to say whether the above items have been delivered. Is this the service that a frail 89 year old woman deserves?Update 9/11/22 - Not sure if Angus felt guilty about the above situation or whether it was this review but he called me and mentioned that he would come out and deliver the Walker and Commode seat himself. To his credit he did.

Needed some help with choosing a walker for my mum. The staff there were genuinely interested in helping me find the right solution. They were very knowledgeable with the products and very helpful.
