Went out for a full day trip with Dan on the wheel and Sean manning the deck, the boys done an excellent job and put all customers onto some great fish even with an earthquake the night before threatening to make it a hard day, catered well and definitely kept well entertained!.Hey Steve these boys deserve a raise!.

Did the three day live aboard in July 2021 which was ok. Customer service with Alicia is very bad. Try not to deal with her she’s very arrogant and doesn’t give you much information or she will give you wrong information. She also over charged us for the fish boxes. You are better off ringing Steve the owner. The food was very average but plentiful, nothing special. They didn’t cook any of the fish that we caught. There’s coffee and tea on board along with desalinated fresh water. There was soft drinks on board but you must byo alcohol, bottled water and anything else you want to eat or drink. One of the two toilets onboard has a clear window, so no privacy. Sleeping is ok but take an extra pillow. It’s very noisy at night with the water slapping against the hull of the boat being aluminium. Fishing gear supplied is good. Don’t expect to take home a lot of fish or what you catch. The crew through out a lot of good pieces of fish and meat. Also the way the fish are divided is not the best. Specifically asked for some of the fish that I caught but didn’t get any. Our group paid the full price compared to others onboard so we should have got what we caught. Also there’s no discount for children. At the time of writing this review inclusions and prices were different on the website from the time of booking and up until departure.

We went on a 4 night, 3 day trip in July 22 which was extremely enjoyable . The fishing was brilliant - plentiful, great size and variety. The crew of two (Dan and Sean) worked tirelessly and were full of really helpful tips, stories and insights into fishing up north. It was a really relaxing trip and a great adventure. I can't recommend these guys highly enough.

I went on an all day charter with my family and we had the best time and caught a truckload of fish. The service was unbelievable. The captain and deckhand were amazing and helped many of us with reeling in the larger fish and untangling our lines! Nothing was too much trouble. Safety was a priority and the boat was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend.

We have just returned from a 3 day charter with Our captain Dan and Shaun as our decky. What a fabulous trip we had, nothing was a problem the gear was top notch and the food was great. Dan put us onto fish and moved if there were no fish. Shaun never stopped working to make our trip one of the best I have been on thanks again Arafura Blue Water Charters and I would not hesitate to recommend your charters .Thanks once again Dan and Shaun.

This was an amazing trip! I was on a four day charter in July 2021. Thankfully covid restrictions in the nt were relaxed just in time! Before I get to the fishing, the food and service was outstanding. You wouldn't think it was all cooked on the BBQ! My favourites were the huge delicious parms and the honey soy fish wings and pickled sushi - you could not possibly go hungry on one of these trips. Sleeping arrangements are fine, but you will know you are on a boat not in a hotel room. I'm fine with that because I was there to fish not chill out by the pool. I'm a big guy, next time I might take my own pillow and a camping sleeping mat just to make things a touch easier. Now, the fishing - it was exceptional! See the photos I've posted. Quite obviously a massive amount of research and experimentation in finding the spots we fished. Basically we were in empty wilderness - we were fishing in the Timor Sea southwest of the Peron Islands a long way from Darwin - there was no one else there for the first three days and just one or two boats on the last days. What we caught was also exceptional- mainly great big Goldband snapper, coral trout, tricky snapper, gold spot cod, large mouth nannygai, giant trevally AND huge red emperor - there were more, these were the most common fish caught. I also had a tussle with a giant lemon shark - he didn't quite break the surface before he broke off, but we saw colour - what a battle! The rod was totally doubled over! I was by myself on the trip unfortunately. There were two groups onboard with me, my mates had to cancel due to lock downs, despite this I felt very well taken care of! Lee (captain) and Jarmin (decky)were so friendly and welcoming. The three females that were with us made a point of mentioning how comfortable they felt - not just for the blokes this outfit! Lots of courtesy and respect. What I got out of it: memories to last a lifetime, substantially better angling skills, a freezer FULL of incredibly tasty fillets. This was an amazing trip, I hear the five day ones to the Timor Box are even better - that's where I'm going next, can't wait! Thanks Arafura Bluewater Charters!

Husband very disappointed with half day fishing trip. More time spent moving around than actually fishing. 14 people and only 2 fish caught. Not what I call a good experience as he was so looking forward to this. Booking made with Top End but ended up with this company. Not recommended

Went on a half day morning charter with my family. We did more driving around then fishing. We honestly only fished for no more then 30 minutes and spent 4 1/2 driving. Would drop our lines in and start getting bites, only to be told to pull ya lines up

Just got back from a 5-day charter, great trip all round. Weather got worse towards the end and so came back a little early but had already caught close to the boat limit so no loss, weather can be tricky up there. Captain Dan and Shaun the Deckie were fantastic, worked round the clock to make sure everything was top notch. Great gear, food and company, definitely would do again. Thanks guys.
