What a stunning view! It is not overcrowded like many of the other sites along the GOR and offers a great view of the entire bay and the unique rock formations along the coast.

Bay of Islands Beach
Bay of Islands Beach is an easy place to access the Southern Ocean in a slightly sheltered bay. While the beach is not patrolled I've swum here in summer. The beach is beautiful and an easy set of steps leads down. Best for photography early in the day. If you're lucky enough to get a super low tide you can wade out to inspect the caves or use a kayak/canoe.
