Absolutely beautiful historic building. Well worth a visit and I highly recommend attending one of the tours. The volunteers are so knowledgeable and friendly. They also make beautiful food for the cafe

Labassa Mansion
We went to Labassa for a crime solving show. My wife had booked in advance. There was a very large group of people we were all divided into groups based on roles allocated while we waited outside. We when went to a room with the actor playing the role of team leader where we were given our task, solve a murder. We were given some clues and then had to roam the building to solve the murder. The actors were all great. We had s great time. Highly recommended!

Love Labassa, beautiful bone structure indeed and so glad it has been kept. Some rooms definitely need to be restored for sure to get that full affect. The history is amazing especially around the outside of all places, we came here for an open day and tour.

Labassa Mansion
A step back in time. Fascinating to see an 1800’s built mansion in the middle of suburban Melbourne that has evolved and changed over many years as the city has grown. I read a few stories that were on show and when I got home continued to Google the history. The stories of the residents are fascinating. It’s not somewhere to spend hours, but if you’re looking for something different to do, well worth a look.

Labassa Mansion
Stunning historical mansion, open days are held every third Sunday, best to book tickets in advance. The guides conduct tours of the house every hour, but you can explore on your own. Team room cafe in the courtyard has some lovely scones and cake.

Labassa is a beautiful home with a colourful history. Its glory is evident in the architecture and interior design. Known as the House of Dreams, it is full of life stories. Walking through it, took me on a path of imagination and intrigue.

Beautiful old mansion with lots of history about the development of melbourne. We bought a book la bassa house of dreams which gives all the amazing details of people who have lived here. Well worth a visit.
