WOW, just WOW a must see exhibit if your in Tassie. This place is just mind boggling, the years and years of effort, I wish I could take a little piece home with me. You could easily spend hours here, enjoying the artistry and story behind it all. Make sure you pre- purchase tickets so you don’t miss out.

We feel honoured to have had the opportunity to visit The Wall. It has been a true highlight of our holiday in Tasmania and was quite moving. We took in all the detail of each panel and are absolutely entranced by the magnificent sculpting of Greg Duncan. The gallery building in which The Wall is housed is magnificent in itself. As you are not allowed to take photos inside, we have bought the three books and look forward to reading these and viewing all the photos thoroughly. The snow on the gallery building was an added bonus.Thank you Greg Duncan.

We first visited this place about 12 years ago and the sculpture was only just over half way through, came back to see what he had done in that time and was amazed the quality of the work has not dropped but the length of the work has doubled with the building being extended to accomadate the additional work. We already had the first edition of the book and had no hesitation in buying the next two editions as the talent of the sculpture is amazing the details in the carvings are outstanding and appreciated. Well worth the visit and I just hope we visit again sooner than we did this time and will ve jeen to return for the next chapter.

What a truly beautiful experience enveloped in the scents of Huon pine and the exquisite artistic talents of Greg Duncan in the story & timber panels of The Wall. It’s well worth the long trip to Derwent Bridge. Sit in awe at his realism and beauty, enjoy a drink in front of the fire. Unfortunately the cafe was closed but food and drink is available nearby or in Miena.

Absolutely fascinating to see the results of talent. A masterpiece of story telling on timber. If you visit on a cold dress warm as it is an enormous building. Since you can't take photos, take time to reflect on the past lives of the pioneer people.

Stumbled upon ‘The Wall’ while travelling around Tasmania and so pleased we stopped to go in for a look. Superb craftsmanship that has to be seen to be believed! Photography is not permitted inside the building therefore I have only uploaded an image of the brochure and a photo of one of the many enormous metal insect sculptures mounted on posts as you drive in. Highly recommend this place.

The Wall is an impressive display of woodworking and carving skills by the sculptor Greg Duncan. It was easy to book and also change the day and time as we arrived earlier in Derwent Bridge. Put this on your list to stop at.

What a brilliant and imaginative sculptures. The artwork on display in this enormous shed is work coming to Tasmania to see by itself. I pity anyone who just drove by rather than driving in. The Australians theme is spectacular with the depiction of people and animals. Thank you Greg for your wonderful work.

Talent at its best. The whole family enjoyed walking around the gallery, each of us noticing something special that caught our eye. The attention to detail has to be seen to be believed.Galley is right off the highway and takes about 30mins to enjoy. Bookings are essential.
