Rang and had the option of a call back which I took, received call back in 30 minutes and a lady said she would put me through to SA super as this was to help me with my enquiry, was told I had to wait 7 minutes for the next available operator but it ended up just over an hour so gave up, maybe there has been an overhaul to this government department because not much is on off.

After spending 56 minutes on the phone, I requested and was promised a hard copy of last year's PAYG summary.That was late May. We are now 29 June and still nothing.I cannot fathom how this is acceptable in anyone's world.Maybe some of our taxes could be spent on improving customer service

Called the ATO helpline to try to retrieve my lost tfn and the wait time was at least 30mins. So I decided not to waste my time and went to ato office in Adelaide the next morning just after 8:30am. Building does not have any signage to indicate that it's the tax office but the friendly guard guessed that I was lost and welcomed me in. I got myself in the queue and a friendly tax officer attended to me in less than 5mins. Within minutes she gave me my tfn after verifying my id. I am a non resident and getting my id verified over the phone would have been impossible so I am glad I went to the office. 5 stars for the friendly staff.

Spoke to 5 different people on 5 separate occasions, and not one of the call center operators could help, or they would tell me they have resolved issue or assigned the task to high priority . But I still have the same issue over n over and nobody can give me a straight forward answer to my simple bloody question..Bring back aussie call centre people ATO. They all keep repeating sorry I didn't understand you

Called the ATO on helpline 132861 had a wait time of 19 mins. Had to update address details and had difficulty linking to MyGov but the staff was very polite and helpful. All job done in 1 call

Never a good experience unfortunately, I don’t often give bad reviews, but this is an exception.The taxation department need to make some serious changes regarding waiting times for simple requests such as a TFNMy daughter is being taxed over 60% of her wages, due to lengthy wait timesIt has been nearly 2 months waiting for a TFN via paper applicationWe called today to ask how much longer is the wait,They had not even begun to process it, nor did the application show up on the systemI could not believe it really.Today we had to go into the post office & start the process againThis method does not help young adults with first employment to enjoy hard earn wagesBeing taxed so much.Not my first rodeo with the Taxation department, seems to always be lengthy wait times for applications to be approved,Not to mention customer service was extremely poor.We waited over an hour to speak to someone via phone call.The woman was very abrupt, not answering any of our questions, not giving any kind of information that could help us regarding my daughter’s tax file number, instead, I was told to stop talking to my daughter in the background, when I was simply helping her with applicable questions to ask.Poor customer service, lengthy wait times& TFN method is simply rediculousWhy are we Waiting so long for a TFN ? We pay tax & support the economyBut don’t get any kind of support or help & told to wait months for something so simple ?Baffled really

ATO decided to amend our tax return from 2 years ago, and surprise, we now have a tax debt. The amended return makes no sense at all. Communication from the Australian Tax Office is very poor. I would rate their customer services as 0/10. Cant even contact them due to phone being busy and Alexa tool is useless.
