Gokula Stay - All Accessible Holiday Accommodation

A perfect sanctuary to get away from life's problemsIt's surprisingly difficult to find accessible accommodation, so we weren't in a position to be picky. But Gokula Stay -- and owner Shelley -- went above and beyond the usual Airbnb with everything laid on to make things easier. There's a downstairs (actually down-ramp) section with adjustable beds, accessible shower, toilet and kitchen. Then up the ramp there's a lovely open lounge/kitchen combination with 3 bedrooms, a laundry, and bathroom/toilet. The garden is also well maintained and pleasant to be in.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! I couldn’t have had a better holiday with my family at this amazingly presented property. The thought behind every little detail made the stay feel so homely and welcoming. The garden and outdoor area felt like a peaceful paradise and was so nice to lay back and relax ! Fully air conditioned with such an open, airy beautiful living space.Shelley really does go above and beyond for her guest and I will definitely be coming back and recommending her stay to all my friends and family!The all accessible room has been the best we’ve seen to date! The lay out of the room is exactly what we needed and accommodated all our needs!

The cleanliness of gokula stay is second to none, upon entry to this lovely home you are immediately presented with a scent of comforting freshness, assuring you the property is throughly clean. The accessibility layout of the home is welcoming for all people. Between the gorgeously maintained garden and the antique free standing bathtub, this property is as unique as it is charming. Plenty of games and toys for the little ones and just an all round complete BNB. Will absolutely be coming back :).

It’s luxurious with a homely ambience that makes you feel instantly relaxed. Equipment is provided keeping in mind that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to the needs of people with a disability. The owner Shelley caters to all clients with a personalised approach, going above & beyond to ensure everyone enjoys their stay. The spacious outdoor areas are all accessible and include external washing facilities, large secure storage area, bbq, outdoor dinning & lounge area surrounded by peaceful gardens where guests can take joy in nature. Clients, carers, families and yes even pets are all welcomed at Gokula. Not to mention Gokula Stay is situated in Point Vernon, Hervey Bay which is a beautiful beach side suburb to explore if visitors so desire to venture out and take full advantage of the convenient location.

Shelley went above and beyond to cater for my client. Amazing house and facilities with a beautiful secure garden. Highly recommend a stay here, plenty of room for everyone and the family pet. Amazing local recommendations aswell. Had an awesome time.

I dont think there is enough room here for me to share what an AMAZING and DELIGHTFUL experience it was to stay at Gokula. Shelley, Dave & Sachi were simply lovely and have made a truly all accessible haven in this home. Being wheelchair bound myself I have stayed at many 'supposed' wheelchair accessible properties that inevitably were not that accessible. But in the case of Gokula I have found my home away from home. ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING has been thought of and we wanted for nothing. There were so many extra's and the personal touches all over the home were noticed and so appreciated. I had my beautiful live in carers with me along with our three fur babies who loved the grass and had a smile on their dials the whole time. We have already booked for June and plan to make regular stays at Gokula as it is a truly perfect home for serenity and respite. Thank you so much, Mishelka

Gokula Stay All Accessible Holiday Home Wheelchair Friendly - Hervey Bay is such wonderful, disability friendly accommodation. Nothing is any trouble for them. Their accommodation has been designed specifically disability friendly for guests with shower chairs, roll in shower, bed with rails, hoist and parking for wheelchair vans. Her garden is looking fantastic too!! Can't recommend her enough! Time Out Disability Services
