What a brilliant spot for a day trip/picnic or camping overnight. This place is normally sooooo much cooler than Tamworth, it’s especially nice in Summer! The toilet facilities are relatively new and are clean and well maintained - a bonus in my books!!

A beautiful camping / swimming dam. Loads of space with around 15 groups camping at the time. Pit toilets are modern and looked after. 36 degrees in Tamworth but a very pleasant 26 up here in the mountains, a great escape from the Summer heat.

Great place to camp with the kids particularly in summer. Always 25 degrees cooler than Tamworth or Nundle. Lots of native wildlife, birds and a great place to swim and fish. Facilities are okay with clean toilets and fire pits to cook in. Short drive into Nundle for supplies.
