Anthony Vicino is a highly unprofessional real estate agent. He is a bully and a gaslighter. I lived at a property in Northcote and we didn't have hot showers for the first month of living there as he was too slow in replying to our urgent request that the gas went out mid shower -- it was winter. There are countless other examples of unprofessional and poor behaviour which would leave this review too long. I have to say, our landlord who lived next door to us and was obviously wealthy as he painted roof a different colour, was absolutely complicit in not fixing urgent repairs and caring for the tenants of the property he owned. He ignored us like he didn't see us as human beings. Horrific experience, do not recommend. Zero stars.

Entered the property without permission!!! Never disclosed he was the landlord AND the property agent, so when he didn’t want to fix things (like windows that wouldn’t open or close), “the landlord doesn’t want to pay for it”. Took three week, countless emails, visits and calls to release bond and would almost weekly bully and harass us because the wrong bin was taken in (no bin was correctly marked with the address making it difficult to know!). Anthony is a bully and I would urge anyone thinking of renting or doing business through him to think otherwise.

Very poor experience.My partner and I requested basic maintenance be conducted on our rental, this was never completed.Near impossible to contact, very poor response time to emails and phone messages.Director was rude, arrogant, unprofessional, often aggressive on the phone when we were following up basic enquires.I would never recommend their service to anyone.Now home owners in the area with investments we strongly advise against working with this team.

Honestly my worst experience renting in the 15 years I have been living out of home. Anthony is completely unprofessional and extremely rude. Tried to contact him for urgent repairs and assistance during the COVID 19 pandemic and literally couldn’t get in touch or get a return call. Didn’t even acknowledge when we gave our notice to move out due to expecting our first child and completely bullied me throughout the entire move out process which has caused me great stress in a high risk pregnancy. I’ve never been spoken to with such disrespect let alone from the owner of a business..I would highly recommend other agents in the area, don’t waste your time with Anthony at all.

Have been waiting to get out of our place so I can write this complaint. Anthony Vicino is very unprofessional on quite literally an illegal level, which can be summarized in the following incidents.• Property did not have working bathroom lights so we spent 4 MONTHS showering in the dark in the evenings. Multiple emails were sent. When chatting to the receptionist about another issue and bringing it up to ask if there was a way of getting it fixed, they had no clue it had been an issue and had us linked in with an electrician within 30 minutes.• Moved into the property in December and did not get heating installed until April the following year, again multiple emails were sent on top of text messages. It took threatening VCAT involvement to have this fixed.• Towards the end of the lease, Anthony tried to schedule an inspection and notified us 12 hours in advance. Also scheduled multiple other inspections which we were not notified of and only found out by googling the property. Also showed up on the last day of our lease unannounced to inspect the property whilst it was still under our name and had the gall to complain about the state of the garden which was in far better shape than when we moved in.• Hot water system was broken when we first settled in to the property, so we had no hot water for a full week.• Garden was as tall as us when we moved in, which made the backyard and front yard completely unusable and a snake haven, which was something we were promised would be neat when we arrived. The gardener described the state of the front and back of the house as the worst job he’d every had to do.• Also forgot to show up to the house to inspect leaks that had occurred from the torrential rain late 2022. 2 people in the house took time off work to be there for him and had to take further time off work to accommodate for his forgetfulness. Tried to contact him and reception and did not receive a response for many hours after he was due at the house.• On multiple occasions blamed the reception staff for not notifying us of certain things that were his responsibility to communicate e.g., inspection dates.We learnt very quickly that if we wanted anything done, to speak or to email reception directly. Reception staff were always lovely to deal with, but clearly needs this accountability from other staff. It is embarrassing for him that this is what was required to get anything done.Given the dilapidated state the house was already in (clearly repainted over a continual mold problem in the bathroom using the incorrect paint which peeled off during our tenancy, leaking during storms, broken windows, rusted through window locks, etc.) the attitude and laziness from Anthony did not help. Please DO NOT rent with Anthony Vicino as a landlord.

I have rented with Anthony twice over a total of about 4 years. In that time I have found Anthony to be responsive and professional in all my dealings with him. I have had no major issues and have been happy renting using his agency. The most important part for me was at the beginning of the pandemic, I had a precarious situation with my job and Anthony worked with the landlord to support me to ensure I was able to continue to stay in my apartment. I will always be grateful for that. Thank you for your support and empathy Anthony.
