Horrendous service.Entered the store to have my wife's non -functional SIM replaced, to be told she had to do it in person. I told them my wife would take the hour drive to the store to personally present herself.When she arrived at the store she was told they were fully booked and could come back tomorrow, or they would call should a time become available.She asked how would she receive a call if her SIM isn't working, to be ignored and told they would call. Despite numerous attempts to enquire how contact would be made without a working SIM card, she gave up, and left.She was not the only one who left too.I also enquired about some other hardware which of course they didn't have in stock, and was kindly prompted to their website.This Kingston store in particular is the epitome of uselessness. Abysmal.Thank you though, Telstra. You've given us the push we needed to leave you again. Between your pathetic packages, exorbitant prices and enforced plan hike/changes, you're a truly woeful company. If you had any shred of decency you'd feel embarrassed and ashamed.

Terrible ethics in this store and rude rude staff! my elderly parents went in and tried to do a simple task, change of address, but the customer non-service agent kept trying too up-sell them everything they didn't and tried too sign them up for additional services ON THE SLY!!! without them knowing!! it wasn't until he asked for the first months payment in advance that they knew something wasn't right... He had already changed there email address without consent and up'ed there plans with out being asked... I will be taking this too the ombudsman. ripping off pensioners is a disgrace!!EDIT Turns out they never ever changed the address!! PURELY tried too scam elderly customers and nothing else... Called several times too speak to manager but mostly the phone just rings out or they are not there...

Under-staffed, and what staff they have are incompetent. I was told repeatedly that Telstra would NOT honour my warranty, and then they guy checked with his Supervisor and it turned out it that it was covered.They then proceeded to copy and save my driver's licence details for no apparent reason! No wonder companies are in such trouble for data breaches... I felt violated and abused. Go to Optus folks...

This has to be the worst Telstra Shop I have ever dealt with! Over many years, I have continued to give this shop a go; it is my local, and I understand that staff change regularly. Yesterday was yet another disappointment and finally the last time I will bother. I recently bought a new phone (at Telstra Hobart, significantly better service!!) and needed some accessories. Went in to be served by a lovely young lady who went out the back to find what I asked for. When she returned, she sat back in her chair and my interaction was taken over by a pushy and dismissive young man, who brought out specifically what I had said I did not want, and then clearly lost interest in my custom. When I asked one final question regarding my points balance, with no one else in the shop, I was advised I could find that out on my Telstra App. When pushed, he looked it up for me on the system, told me I had zero points as I’d just joined Telstra (actually decades ago, but hey....). and advised that if I wanted to to advantage of the EOFY sale I would have to pay cash. I walked out straight to the pop up phone kiosk out the front of the shop, received wonderful and friendly service (as per usual!) from the staff there, got exactly what I wanted for a fraction of the price, and then came home to find a letter from Telstra advising me of my points balance in the 10s of thousands and my free gift I could redeem at any Telstra Shop!! Shame on you Kingston Telstra, I will definitely not be recommending you to another living soul!!!

The service i received today was shocking. I Went into the Kingston store today to ask for help with my new phone (ordered online) and to ask about how to redeem the bonus offers that cr with the phone. I was greeted by a man who seemed to be bothered by the fact that I was there. When I asked about the redeemable offers he rolled his eyes and handed me a qr code to scan. As I'm trying to get my camera up to use it the phone was snatched from my hand because I seemed to take to long. I took the phone back and said I was able to do it I just needed a second. The man seem frustrated and short tempered told me to go online and sort it out there.I would 100% recommend using a different telstra store if possible and I would say the stuff member I got today could do with some customer service training.

11/4/2023. I could see that the agent was already cross before he got to me so I smiled a greeting which was returned by an annoyed shrug and a grumble and then another rude shrug when I started to explain why I was there. He made me so sad and cross that I stormed off and actually swore at him. I didn't get a chance to explain how the staff last week had gruffly told my 91 year old neighbour that they didn't have enough time to recharge his phone and that he needed to make a booking. They just left him hobbling on his walking stick and walked away from him. It had taken him 10 minutes to walk from his car to the shop and then another 10 minutes to return to his car. He had to go home without a working phone that he needed for his hospital visit the next day.Telstra if you hate your job, leave.Jan McClean
