This has got to be our favourite cafe in Bondi if not all of Sydney. The sandwiches were absolutely delightful, and the staff extremely kind and friendly. We enjoyed our brunch so much that we had to come back a second time before we flew back home to Singapore. You know you’ve found a special place when the second time turns out even better than the first! We will definitely be back for a visit the next time we’re in Sydney(Please forgive my sub-par photo taking skills, which truly do not do these sandwiches justice…)

Amazing Decor only matched by the great arepa’s they even do a vegan option. Good strong coffee with little marionette coffee beans. The music is also good. Quick Service like literally wish this was next door to my house.

Great venue, amazing staff. Coffee is awesome. Great little menu, the #1 sandwich is great. The baguettes are baked locally, great simple French theme & conception. Made with really good produce. Good range of gluten free snacks and sweets too

Arepas have found their way to Bondi Beach. For those not in the know, Arepas are small handheld flat gluten and dairy free corn cakes stuffed with your favourite fresh ingredients. These can now be found at Costas, just short walk from Bondi Beach.Owners Cedric and Simone are absolutely delightful and make all customers feel super welcome with their wonderful hospitality. Although growing up in France, Cedric became accustomed to this South American staple thanks to the Colombian influences of his mother and grandmother. We are thankful for this, for Costas are now showcasing authentic Arepas cakes filled with a new take of flavours in the Eastern Suburbs. The Arepas served at Costas are tasty corn cakes, which are toasted over a cast iron griddle and come with your favourite protein, or vegetarian.Cedric and Simone have put together a range of Arepas with flavours inspired by their travels around the world. We tried “Mrs. Chang” -  crispy sesame hoki fillet, red coleslaw and vegan wasabi mayo which was superb! We also thoroughly enjoyed “The Yankee” with grass fed short rib, coleslaw, pickled jalepenos and house bbq sauce. They have four other flavours, including some with plantain, eggplant, or chicken. You can order two for $14, as well as sides such as sweet plantain and queso, cilantro rice and black beans (which we had and found incredibly tasty) or watermelon and jicama salad. If you’re also after a drink, they do sparkling water, juices and kombucha in addition to their coffee. Coffees are made using one of our favourites “”Little Marionette” and come served in a Huskee cup. I also really like their chai latte and cold brew. The styling here is also on point. Beach sophistication at its finest. It could also be described as Bohemian luxe. It’s cool peach and beige hues with wicker baskets and bags, rope weaved stools, comfy benches and pendant lights makes it feel totally at home in Bondi. The ambience has a hip community vibe to it and we like that Costas has a focus on the environment and sustainability, serving their arepas in metal “Arepa stands” in reusable baskets. Salad containers are bio cups and coffees are sold in huskee cups. They also only use sustainable and humanly raised animals and all sauces are made with fresh ingredients.Come on and get on board to make Arepas the new tacos!
