After a round trip of approximately 200 km, the odometer on my 1999 Toyota Camry gave a total distance of 165 km that I knew was incorrect.I noted the odometer showed a different total after I turned-off the engine and then turned-on the ignition to record the distance in a travel log.I then used Google Timeline to check the journey, noting the distance travelled (92 + 1.1 + 93 = 196.1 km) vs. times. This proved the distance and the odometer instrument had glitched.
